^First trade is OK (just OK) and second trade is awful for the Raptors. Bargnani and Bayless have more value than that.

Here's a simple trade:

To Chicago: Leandro Barbosa

Chicago is desperate for a SG and Barbosa is also an expiring contract.

To Toronto: Omer Asik + Ronnie Brewer

Raptors need a veteran Center, but in this case, they take a shot on an up and coming C prospect who may be ready sooner than later. Also get a decent defender at backup SG.

Bayless/Knight/[Calderon]
DeRozan/Brewer
J.Johnson/Kleiza
Davis/A.Johnson/Dorsey
Bargnani/Asik/Alabi

I would do this trade, but not sure if Bulls would do it. They are very high on Asik.

I like this trade a lot, but it would likely move Bargnani to PF and Asik to starting C.

This is a good trade too, though not sure if I want Korver more or Brewer more. Korver reminds me too much of Kapono (one dimensional player). Bargnani will add instant offense for the Bulls, and Rose doesn't have to score as much anymore.

I'd rather trade Bargs for picks or cap relief

I'd love to trade him for a pick as well, ideally someone in the 7-14 range this year, or a 2012 pick.

2012 pick for sure, because the draft will be much stronger so even having a Miami type pick next year would be better than mid first round this year.

Bargs + 5

For

Jefferson + 3

Okur is done and Bargs is a great fit beside Millsap.

Jefferson's contract is shorter and we move up to number #3 and guarantee Knight/Williams/Kanter

I'd do it if UTH was willing, however I would look to move Jefferson to a 3rd team.

You don't think Jefferson is a good Centre for us? I mean, I know he is defensively challenged, but having his post offense beside guys like Davis & Johnson is complimentary.

We're too hurt for talent to just give away talent with that excuse. With the Cavs winning the draft (+ getting the 4th pick) and Rubio coming over to the Wolves, we are now arguably the least talented team in the league. I'm not giving away a player for Asik or Splitter unless I know for a fact we're doing something significant with the cap space.

At this point, addition by subtraction doesn't make sense considering Bargnani is still young and seems to have the most potential to have a break out game that can lead to upsets. I'll happily trade him away as long as we're loading up on decent prospects who we can move in other deals along with new cap space, but addition by subtraction makes little sense.

Especially without knowing how he'll be held accountable under a new coach.

#5 for Nicolas Batum + #21

At #21, we take Nikola Vucevic or Michigan PG Darius Morris.

I'll tell you what, Batum would be intriguing in Lawrence Frank's system. I think we'd see his playmaking ability more, and his point-forward skills.

I'd do that deal, although I wouldn't take either Morris or Vucevic-- I'd swing for the fences with high upside guys in Nogueira/Tyler/Selby instead.

I think it's premature to pencil in Frank as our coach, but I really like Batum. He has a very smooth, almost SG-like game, and I feel he really doesn't show quite as much as he could in Portland, but you see more of in his international play (which could be because Portland has Roy, Matthews, Aldridge, Miller, and now Wallace as higher usage guys on the team). I think him and DeMar could form a great young complementary duo on the wings with his efficient scoring, 3pt range, defensive potential, and rebounding (and of course his length and athleticism).

With DeRozan, Davis, Amir, Bayless, Calderon, Number 5, thats a good talent base right now. If anything trading away Bargnani might make us a little challenged to score and we can tank for that 2012 class. More likely though, I think we will get a nice return for Bargnani, get a center either in the draft or free agency, DeRozan will explode, Davis will play big minutes, and we will be in the playoffs.

Yup, and Portland probably does this with Biyombo or Kanter in mind. I think with the uncertainty surrounding Greg Oden, they only have Camby and Aldridge essentially as bigs. Camby has what, a year left I think on his current deal. So, I think this would be interesting for them.

I also think Batum can do more that what he has shown in Portland.

As far Lawrence Frank goes, I don't know what other coaches are out there. Messina and Malone are likely off the market, Mike Budenholzer is either staying with the Spurs or could be taking the Warriors' job, and then there's Dwayne Casey and Mike Woodson.

If Rick Adelman comes here, it would be awesome...but if he's interested at all in the Knicks' job, he could end up there.

what about an atlantic conference mixup

Raps receive

Iguodala and Jodie Meeks

Nets Receive

Bargnani + Kleiza

76er's Receive

Outlaw Morrow Alibi + 27th pick in 2011

Then we work on flipping Calderon to Minny for Perkovic and Flynn

Raps

Bayless - Flynn
DeRozen - Meeks
Igoudala - James Johnson
Amir Johnson - Ed Davis
#5 Enes Kanter or Sign Oden - Perkovic

If Bayless and Flynn dont work out we draft Kabongo next year thats a sick team

Trade 1

Raps Receive

Al Jefferson

Jazz Receive

Jason Thompson + Linas Kleiza +#7 20111

Kings Receive

Bayless + Bargnani

Trade 2

Raps Receive

Jonny Flynn + Perkovic

Minny Receives

Jose Calderon

Raps Lineup

Draft Kemba Walker - Jonny Flynn
Demar DeRozen - Sign AP

I like #5 more than what we get back in Thompson/Casspi, who are simply role players who will have to be extended soon. I certainly wouldn't trade Kleiza for Udrih, who simply creates an even bigger logjam at PG for us.
