Ok, thanks. I'm VERY curious to see what the Cats will do this summer. To be honest I'm not very informed on their direction and it's very hard to gauge the clear cut core for the future etc. I'll definately follow your team this summer to see where y'all head!

We currently only have 1 center under contract on the roster (Diop) and he he out until late this year so, coupled with Silas seemingly very supportive of Kwame, the feeling is that we will be resigning him.

It is good that he came in, but I doubt he will be on the roster next season.

I hope Temple is brought back. He's shown he can play and he is versitile enough to even be a #3 PG in a pinch. With Hendo expected to possibly miss time with injury, I really think it would be a mistake to let him walk.

If we draft someone like Brooks with our second pick and can unload carroll on someone, Temple would be a good third string SG to have on the roster in case of injury. I'm certain he could be signed for the vet min, possibly may even consent to a deal with a team option for a second year

Third string shooting guard is irrelavent. Especially with Jack able to slide there.

Having a third string guard capable of playing the 1 or 2 is not. That versatility is where his value lies.

Temple should be back for minicamp and then we'll see. It's up to him to defend his spot on roster and prove he is better than any competition Bobcats would be able to sign at the same price (veteran players excluded).

- Centers of attraction -
Bobcats need to find a big man in middle through the draft, trades or free agency

From my experience draftexpress seems to be be the closest mock to the way the draft plays out. One that is rarely even close is nbadraft.net.

Ford's mock, the day of the draft, is usually on the money because he has his finger on the pulse of most teams.

from the same link slam posted in the workout thread. more positive kwame news. seems like the k-man loves silas and loves it here. we obviously want him back. will k-man's agent get greedy and ruin it for both parties?

Kwame Brown update: Despite becoming an unrestricted free agent, 10-year veteran center Kwame Brown has been working out daily with the coaches, particularly Paul Silas. Much of the focus has been on improving Brown's shot release, in part to improve his foul-shooting and also to give him more options in the pick-and-roll.

Silas' effort clearly leaves Brown wanting to re-sign here.

"This is the first time in a long time that, with an organization, I feel like they want me here," said Brown, a former No. 1 overall pick on his first NBA team.

"You want a coach like Paul, who loves to teach, not always yelling. I'm not saying Paul is a pushover, but the quality of time he spends with you and his people skills, you've got to have that when you draft young guys, or you shouldn't draft them."
