I like Jimmer, but Mike Bibby isnt worth trading up for...atleast not if we give up too much

I dont mind trading up for Jimmer, I think he's an impact player that can make a big difference in NY. On the flipside what do we have to part with to move up? Billy Walker? Cool. Not sure what else outside of him I'd want to give up. I guess i could live with TD, but that would be pushing it.

I wouldn't mind drafting jimmer but i think he is going to the kings but if we do trade picks to 14 i wonder who we will get.

At 14 w/ Jimmer gone? Probably Bismack Biyombo or Tristan Thompson

Biyombo is one guy who, if he slips to the late lottery, I hope we try to move up to grab him. He could be a great fit next to Amar'e. Only 6-9, but 7-7 wingspan and he'll be very defense-oriented.

Mike Bibby isn't worth trading up for? Mike Bibby was the 2nd best player on a western conference championship team. Why isn't that worth trading up for?

Put the Kings Mike Bibby on our team and I think he could be an EXCELLENT 3rd option.
What do I care...it's rigged anyway

What is it that you people are seeing in Tristan Thompson, Markieff Morris, or Kenny Faried? I just don't get it. Why would we need undersized PF's who lack explosion and have short arms (in the case of Morris). WHERE ARE THESE GUYS GONNA PLAY FOR US? Stat/Melo play 38mpg. So we are supposed to be drafting 10mpg backups? NONE OF THESE DUDES ARE CENTERS AND NONE ARE SHOTBLOCKERS. I just don't get it. If we end up with a big it better be Biyombo or Montiejunas (great offense or great defense)...NO LOW CEILING ROLE PLAYERS.

I agree on Kieff and Faried, but TThompson is legit, the fact that you said hes not a shotblocker lets me know that you know little to none about him, hes not the greatest PF or anything but he can be very servicable for any team, imo, hes a better version of Tyrus Thomas, I wouldnt mind having either "TT" on this team...

I admit I haven't seen this kid play (Tristan). But how much of a shotblocker could he be at 6'8"? I'm just not sold on all these undersized PFs. I'd rather gamble on Selby or Brooks.

Also, for comparison Wilson Chandler is 6'8" and capable of blocking a shot or two but that still doesn't make him an ideal 4/5 for us when he was here. All drafting Faried, Tristan or Markieff will do is ensure D'Antoni plays Amar'e at C again and he'll continue to breakdown.

Faried reminds me of Lee honestly. He isnt the tallest or the longest, but he knows where to be and how to get there. He's quick on his feet and has solid athleticism. I dont know about him being a shot blocker, but this kid will be able to grab a ton of rebounds in the NBA and he has the ability to score too as a quick small pf. Around the rim he'll get the ball and go straight up and dunk or lay it in much like Lee did imo. Lee is more athletic, but I dont think Faried is a slouch. He's not my first choice but I wouldnt be mad if we got Faried.

that's very probable.

I doubt it. They're getting Iggy for size and they already have Wright at SF. As well as Reggie Williams.

They're going for size or defense at #11 IMO. Especially with Mark Jackson as their new Coach.

Well at least you admitted you never saw Tristan play Coke, cuz you were makin no sense . Hes 6'9 with a 7'2 wingspan and a 9'1 standing reach. Thats as good as alot of centers. Hes also very athletic. A great defender in the post. Blocked 2 and a half shots a game. Thing with him is upside. Hes got a lot of it, especially defensively.

You think we have no use for this guy?

All of them can play some PF and C. They can come off the bench and give us 20 minutes a night, like Taj Gibson. Would you draft Taj Gibson at our pick? Cuz I would. Amare will not be playing 38 mpg, and he shouldnt. He should be in the area of 33-34. That leaves around 15 mpg at backup PF, and a couple at center if we go small. Boom.. 20-25 minutes. And big minutes too. The more bigs the better. Amare can play some center too here and there.

BUT yea I think its obvious we're going to pick a guard. As much as I like Tristan and Kieff we are not going to pick either guy. Both can get away at center for short spurts but its far from ideal. We have gigantic holes at C/SG/future PG so SF/PF is the last area we will look, unless its a clear cut BPA talent like Motiejunas.

I remember repeating over and over in 09 wed pick a guard too, and voila.. Jordan Hill.

I think Klay will probably go well before 17 because he's one of the few guys in the draft with a clearly-defined NBA role and the physical attributes to fit that role.

A) He's 6'9".
B) So is Ben Wallace.

So how much of a shotblocker could Ben Wallace be at 6'9"?

Thompson is taller than Tyrus Thomas, who blocked about 3 shots per 40 mins this year, which was good for #11 in the league. He's also taller and longer than Josh Smith, who's clearly a very capable shot blocker.

Besides - Shot blocking isn't really a major concern for us. We were 4th in the NBA in shot blocking last year anyway. What we need is post defense and rebounding, both of which Thompson offers (in addition to the aforementioned shot blocking).

I'd draft Tristan Thompson in a second, but he won't be available when we pick.

I don't want Klay. I think he has a weak mentality to be successful, and I am not too sure about Jimmer and how well he could be in this league. I'm looking at Selby, Bismack ( ) and Brooks.

No, Klay just complimented Brooks.

All accounts said they were 1a and 1b
