To TOR: Pekovic + #2
To PHI: Bargnani + Beasley
To MIN: Iguodala + #5

Raps move up to #2, save enough to go after a big via FA

PHI gets a great return for Iggy.

MIN moves down to get Biyombo at #5 while getting its vet SG

Bayless / Calderon
Derozan / Barbosa
Williams / Johnson
Davis / Amir
C (FA) / Pekovic

I actually like that trade quite a bit, and it seems pretty realistic.

Living in philly at the moment, so watch quite a lot of sixers ball. While at first I was concerned defensively, I dont think Bargs/Brand/Beas/Turner/Holiday is really any worse than Hawes/Brand/Turner/Ellis/Holiday. They have a pretty nice 7 man rotation of those 5 + Thad young and L.Williams.

A rotation like this looks quite nice for them, with a defensive specialist (DS) replacing Meeks in the lineup as they no longer need offence. Such a deep team as well, basically they can have any one of their starters suffer an injury barring perhaps Holiday and carry on without a hitch.
Bargs 25 / Hawes 17 / Brand 6
Brand 26 / Bargs 7/ Beas 7/ Thad 8
Beas 25 / Thad 17 / DS 6
Turner 32 / Williams 10 / DS 6
Holiday 32 / Williams 16

Minesota do it as well, as Iggy is exactly what they need, would look good next to Rubio/Johnson/Love/Pick?

Pretty good trade overall, though you can include Flynn to the Raptors. Also, I perfer Darko than Pekovic.

Ah I even meant to put Flynn in there. Darko I think they need because he would start for them till Biyombo is ready. So revising it

To TOR: Flynn + Pekovic + #2 (D.Williams)
To MIN: Iguodala + #5 (Biyombo)
To PHI: Bargnani + Beasley

Bayless / Flynn
Derozan / Barbosa
Williams / Johnson / Kleiza
Davis / Amir
C / Pekovic / Alabi

If you can trade Calderon + Kleiza to a team like the Lakers (Walton + Barnes (waived) + Ebanks for Calderon, then their TE (Sasha trade) for Klezia. Saves you enough to go after a C in FA

Bayless / Flynn
Derozan / Barbosa
Williams / Johnson / Walton
Davis / Amir / Ebanks
C (Jordan,Oden,Etc) / Pekovic / Alabi

That's a fun team to watch

For

Thompson + Udrih + Casspi

I like #5 more than what we get back in Thompson/Casspi, who are simply role players who will have to be extended soon. I certainly wouldn't trade Kleiza for Udrih, who simply creates an even bigger logjam at PG for us.

I disagree. Thompson and Casspi can be very productive. Casspi gives us decent D and spreads the floor with his shooting ability while Thompson was a great inside game, can rebound and defend. All things we are lacking.

Udrih does create somewhat of an issue at PG since we would still have Calderon with this trade. Udrih played well for SAC; he could easily be flipped. Meanwhile, Calderon has two years left and will most likely be moved by the trade deadline or next offseason.

As for Kleiza? He will not have played a full NBA season for two and a half years by the time he sees action again. Even before that, he was playing behind Carmelo, who took up most minutes at SF while Kleiza was in Denver. This guy imo could easily be close to useless when he returns.

Sacramento is salivating over the chance to draft Knight. Instead of getting one asset to work with you get two really young pieces to add to what you have.

The only point I did not realize that you brought up is the extensions we would have to give out sooner for both Casspi and Thompson.

If BC wants to trade for another top-10 pick, how about this?

To Minnesota: Salmons, L. Sanders
To Milwaukee: Bargnani, L. Heyward
To Toronto: Flynn, Tolliver, Milwaukee's #10

Works in the trade machine:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=3rtlpt8

Minnesota has a hole at 2 they could fill this way with the vet Salmons while giving up little talent (except taking on Salmons' salary).

Milwaukee gets to pair Bargnani with Bogut, which would let them see what Bargnani's really got... and Bargnani is almost certainly better (and more seasoned) than the player they would get at 10. It might be too much to ask them to give up Salmons AND #10, but they'd come out with the best player in the trade.

The Raps get to keep #5 and draft their C of the future (Kanter or Val), assuming Knight's off the table, and then pick up some defense at #10 (Leonard, Morris, etc) or possibly be there to pick up a player who slips in the draft as they did last year with Davis.

A Bargs/Bogut front court could be dangerous.

Nice trade (for all)...though I must say it seems that Min is getting what they need (Salmons fills there SG problem) with only giving up Flynn and Tolliver. I am not saying I would turn this down but Rapsare giving up a former #1, who can score over 20pts a game. I would hope BC would try to get in a swap of the #5 (to Min) for the #2 (Tor).

I doubt the Bobcats dump their lotto pick and get nothing in return. I highly highly doubt it.

Agree unless they really want to clear cap space and try and compete sooner than later.

So dump Diop and use their amnesty on Carroll

but agree its feel likes wishful thinking

That`s just impossible. Jordan is not dumping the number 9 pick just to get out of Diop`s contract. They already made a salary cutting deal to remove Tyson Chandler and Gerald Wallace, I think they`d rather get a top 10 pick rather than a little bit of salary relief.

OK here's something to think about:

To Minnesota: Barbosa ($7.6M expiring) + Alabi ($0.7M)

-get their vet SG and another big
-salary relief
-makes room for Rubio and Derrick Williams by shedding Flynn and Beasley

To Charlotte: Beasley ($6.3M)

-Turn Diop (garbage contract) and #9 into Gerald Wallace replacement

To Toronto: Flynn ($3.4M) + Diop ($6.9M) + #9

-Toronto gets a young PG and another top 10 pick
-Takes on Diop's garbage contract and could use him defensively in spotty minutes

Calderon/Flynn
DeRozan/Bayless
J.Johnson/Leonard(#9)/Kleiza
Davis/A.Johnson/Dorsey
Bargnani/Biyombo(#5)/Diop

If I'm Charlotte, I'm trading Diop and #9 for Beasley? Not sure they do that -- #9 might be a better asset than Beasley, given his reputation.

MIN gives up Flynn + Beasley for Barbosa + Alabi? Doesnt really make sense to me. Beasley put up better numbers than Barbosa, is younger and didnt get in trouble so far in MIN. The salary relief your talking about is minimal like 2 million or so. Hardly anything. Beasley is at worst an expiring contract and most of the MIN board believes (although its a small chance) that he could become a superstar and is their closer, the only person who can create offense for himself.

So i highly doubt they do it, every other team would but MIN, probably not. I think if your talking a deal with MIN something like Barbosa for Flynn + Pekovic or something like that may be more of a interest to them than this deal.

Considering this is supposed to be a weak draft, Beasley is quite a proven scorer in this league, he's still young, was taken number 2 overall behind Derrick Rose, and he may be the kind of guy that MJ wants to take under his wing.
