Kind of obvious BC is either giving no info to Chad Ford or is stringing him alone with like 8 names.

Biyombo is dropping hard, damn

maybe he's the guy we want with an additional pick. The Raps and Jazz are the only teams that sent their GMs to go see him in Vitoria (the other teams were the Pistons/Bobcats/Warriors). I would love somehow walking away from this draft with both Knight/Biyombo.

Yeah, I think BC may be aiming for Biyombo...I just don't see BC looking at a player like Thompson and adding another power forward to our lineup.

Unless of course its Amir going out in a trade scenario.

Well I was going under the assumption that Bargs is the main player being sent out to acquire the additional pick in the first place. We'd get a contract(s) back and depending on how that shakes out we'd have some capspace to go after an FA with (If we have a lot, I say go after DeAndre and have a VERY solid defensive frontcourt of Ed/Amir/DeAndre/Biyombo... if we don't have as much capspace, perhaps we consider targeting T.Young/W.Chandler/Green). Really if we manage to get a frontcourt like that with DeMar/Bayless/Knight/Barbosa in our backcourt, I think we could get by scoring-wise next season... and then really set ourselves up well to bring in Gilchrist/Miller/Barnes/P.Jones with a lotto pick in the next draft, and have (imo) a great young core that we can compete with.

Imagine putting a lineup of Knight/Derozan/Gilchrest/Davis/Biyombo, the potential to be an all-defensive team

I have never seen Vesely play. But I will say this. I just finished reading his DraftExpress profile, and if BC takes him with the 5th pick with the intention of starting him at SF (against the likes of LeBron, Pierce, Carmelo, Iguodala, etc.), then BC has learned NOTHING from the Bargnani debacle.

Vesely is a stretch 4 mismatch type player who (like Bargnani) is luxury on a team that has the basics covered and does not need to depend on such mismatches. The Raptors have NOT covered their basics (true leader at PG; rebounding/shot blocking C; scoring SF) so they do NOT need yet another stretch 4.

dont think thats going to happend seeing that if the lockout looms next year we'll be guaranteed another top 5 pick. BC knows there will be an abundance of better sf's in next yrs so im thinking he'll fill in the need at either the pg or c position

Hopefully he sees that Vesely isn't the way to go. I'll admit I haven't seen too much from Vesely but read his DraftExpress profile and it just doesn't sound like he's the type of player we should draft.

My guess is if things stay as they are and Knight goes third we'll pick Kemba without question at 5 and acquire Tristan Thompson to replace Bargs who by rights should be dealt for a 2012 pick. Since James Johnson is a power forward sized 3 I could see us going with a three power forward front court for one more year (OKC did it) and land somebody like a Fesenko for the times we have to go big.
