Seattle (31-28) @ ChiSox (28-33)
Michael Pineda (6-2, 2.30) vs. LHP John Danks (0-8, 5.25)
Felix Hernandez (6-4, 3.04) vs. RHP Philip Humber (4-3, 3.06)
Jason Vargas (4-3, 3.96) vs. Gavin Floyd (6-5, 3.84)
Normally I'd look at a game where Felix is starting opposite of someone named Philip Humber and mark up an automatic W, but Humber limited us to 3 hits and 2 runs in 7 IP in Safeco last month. Floyd totally shut us down, giving up 3 H and 0 R in 8 IP.
7 straight on the road: 3 here, 4 @ Detroit.

A guy named Phillip Humber is not going to shut us down two times in a row.
Series win here is a must. I'm expecting to take the first two games.
We took the first two against New York. First two against Baltimore. First two against Tampa Bay. It's become a trend.

Re: Seattle (31-28) @ ChiSox (28-33)
First off, its amazing that, this series, we finally have a winning record and a positive RD for the first time since 2003 (seriously go look. No not that year, no not the other one either.). These young bats are amazing. I assumed what we had lost when we were down 0-3. then I despaired again when down 3-6. I was aghast when we went up for good. Finally a team we can be excited about, and a truck load of decent young guns emerging.
I've always said it doesn't matter if you lose a game here or there, keep winning the series and take that to the bank.

the rangers are in detroit. I dont think they can sweep them but they swept the indians who had the best record in major league baseball.
They look so incredible strong right now. I hate them.

The Indians aren't nearly as good as their record, but sweeping them is still really impressive. Texas is solid, especially with Cruz and Hamilton back.
We can still catch them though. Just gotta keep playing well and do work when going head to head.

Okay. I'm done with Ryan in the #2 hole. His hot hitting is over.
Move Halman up there. The man is a beast!
...too bad the rest of our offense blows. God Figgins is easily the worst player on the planet.

We are getting owned by a pitcher with a horrific record and terrible era.

Wow. We suck.
Games like this are exactly why I am so thrilled we drafted a solid bat with our first pick.
......oh wait.

What is wrong with this franchise? How did we settle for a freaking pitcher when everybody and their grandmothers can see that we need some offense DESPERATELY.

The White Sox just have our number. Their offense may have issues but their rotation isn't bad.
Oh, and Mike Carp just got called up. About time. Hope he does something with the opportunity.

Re: Seattle (31-28) @ ChiSox (28-33)
Is asking a recent call-up to play 3 straight days unrealistic or something? I don't know, Halman goes 6/7 in his first two games............ he's not my candidate to sit last night.

And Halman sits again today. You don't sit Peguero until Halman proves he won't get 3 hits every single game? No? Okay.

Looks like they are going with a platoon in LF. Finding split stats for the minors is pretty hard but based on a database I found it looks like Halman batted .260 off LHP last year, .242 off RHP. No idea if those numbers are completely correct or not but that's likely the thought process...he's sitting against RHP.

I don't know that Olivo's HR would have been a HR in any other park, but who cares! 4-2 M's!
