I'm no great Chad Ford fan, but he is very well connected to sources with NBA teams. My take from this is not that we will actually pick both twins, BUT, that we like both twins enough to possibly do it. Chad Ford, first and foremost, wants to get as close as possible to the actual picks. I do not want both of those guys, but I will not be surprised if one or the other is on this team.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I don't get the mock drafts Chad Ford or our FO with its comments. Marcus Morris on mock draft is almost the consensus pic at 9. Only Irving 1 and Williams at 2 are more common. As I see it after top 2 this draft could go in a lot of different ways. And since we dont need a PF and we already have our tweener in Chuningham, why on earth would we draft Marcus?

And what is with with our FO we like Kemba and Leonard but they will be gone by our picks. Does nobody remember 2005 draft when we had 2 picks in the first round. We didn't want to package both for CP3 who we liked a lot. Ended up drafting Ray and May. None of them is on our team right now, matter of fact we let them both go for nothing.

If Bobcat draft twins combined with Miami winning a championship, I'm going to have a hard time staying a fan of the NBA. I mean how could our FO be so short sighted. We should go conservitive with our pick, that is the direct opposite of my thinking. Hope this is all a smoke screen or that Chad hasn't got a clue. Because otherwise there is no hope for the future of bobcats.

Thing I don't get is the smoke about Marcus Morris being a small forward. Agree with Draft Express:

"Marcus Morris struggled in 3 of the 4 shooting drills held at the combine, and would have looked comparatively better had he joined his twin brother Markieff and competed with the power forwards and centers. For a player so eager to show and tell teams that he is a natural small forward, this probably isn't what he had in mind."

Is Twin #1 a PF or more a SF?

During the combine he was trying to prove to the pros that he could be a three. He actually did ok.

Shooting is just one set of skills, and he did not score terrible in all of those. He scored badly as a three point shooter. He was in the top five shooting on the move. If you look under the athletic tests he actually faired better than some of the kids we have our eyes on. Kawhi, Klay, and J. Hamilton scored lower than he did.

Why I wouldn't draft a SG at #9: LIst of SG free agents: Nick Young, Mickael Pietrus, Jason Richardson, Roger Mason, Marco Belinelli, JR Smith, Jamal Crawford.

And Brooks at #19. Leonard and Brooks in the 1st round, I can live with that. But that still leaves us with only Kwame (if resigned) and Diop at Center, so that is bothersome.

That would be the Maloof brothers I guess, bringing a little drama to the scene. :-)

But the #9 pick gets around $2.5 mil a year - I doubt you will get Young, JRich, Smith or Crawford for $2.5 mil a year. Heck, you might not even get Pietrus or Marco for $2.5 mil a year!

I actually think that Jimmer would be a good fit next to Tyreke - but I wouldn't want to be taking him #7 overall!

Jimmer at #7 would just help ensure that someone falls to us at #9. So I am all for it!

Remember that we are rebuilding and Nick Young, Marco, and JR are the only ones that could challenge the long term potential of Burks, Klay, and Brooks. All of the guys you mentioned would likely want us to over pay to bring them here. That being said I would contact all of the agents of the three I mentioned, but there is no guaruntee any of them are interested. All of the two guards we have discussed drafting will be there at nine.

Use some of that money BrotherDave wanted to give a two guard and bring in another vet center. After Miami wraps up Dallas Brother Tyc might be nice.

I hear you DJ. I think it will be very interesting to see if Portland offers Oden the QO. I think their deadline is fast approaching to do so. If they dont and he is an UFA, it might be very interesting to see what our FO would do. After a complete physical, if he clears, might be worth a strong look. A healthy Kwame and Oden would be a very nice young Center combination.

There are NO 2 guards in this draft that will seriously contend with Hendo for the starting spot. I'm not convinced the Bobcats are in strict rebuilding mode, MJ wants his cake and to eat it too. I'm assuming that Kwame will show some loyalty and not get greedy on his contract. Splash cash at FA SG (all of those guys would be practically guaranteed starter's minutes here, not so much for their current teams or big markets), draft BPA @ #9, draft C's at #19 or #39.

If Jimmer goes to SAC at #7 as is a possibility now, and say someone else slips into the Top 8 like Monti or Burks, which can happen, we should have a good shot at someone falling. Just a quick hypothetical as this scenario could unfold on draft night. We want the BPA at #9. Suppose that at that moment, we have both Biyombo and Kemba available at #9. Which of them, if either, would you take?
