Are the Sixers that desperate to get rid of Iggy?

How did they go from Kaman or Ellis to Okur and Bell???

Iggy for Millsap and Raja might be plausible....although I don't know if I really want Iggy on this team anymore...

Why wouldn't you ant Iggy on the team? He seems like an ultimate team guy who could be a stopper for us and could get the Jazz back into the playoffs...

Dwight 2011-2012 - 20.6 Points - 14.5 Rebounds - 2.1 Blocks

Because going to the playoffs is fun and all, but he is not going to get us to a championship. His contract is huge and not the right fit for this team right now.

If it was a few years ago I would have absolutely loved Iggy on our team.

You are right on the fit issue right now. There are only a few guys on today's Jazz that I would consider for building a championship team. And once they got there, I would be a fan of getting Iggy even though his contract is quite large. Obviously that would mean getting rid of some other large contracts on the Jazz ie Jefferson, Okur.

It would likely take Jefferson for Iggy or Memo, Bell, and the #3 pick...Iggy would help us defensively alot by moving Haywards lenght to the SG but his contract is bloated. Trading Jefferson would allow Favors to be the main post up player, maybe even play center. Although I prefer him to play PF, he cant develop into a 20+ game scorer without being the guy (main option). I would have to wait to see if we can move up to get WIlliams bc thats who I want. I would likely prefer trading Jefferson over the #3 pick then trading up using both our picks and Miles to get Williams. It would be a short starting lineup but the players do have long arms. Jazz lineup:

PG Harris Watson Price
SG Hayward Bell Price
C Favors Okur Elson Fess
PF Millsap Williams Evans
SF Iggy Williams
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

I really want Iggy on this team. I think he'd be great next to Hayward. I do understand people not wanting him on a team that's rebuilding so I'm finna blow your collective minds right quick.

Memo 3rd for Bogut and 10.
Jefferson Bell for Iggy and L. Williams.

Harris/ Skip to my Lou.
Hayward/Miles
Iggy/Singleton
Millsap/Favors
Bogut/Biyomobo

Millsap gets a bigger role on offense which is nice because he's very efficient. We have two playmaking wings that play stellar defense and three big men that defend the paint and rebound. Get it done KOC.

Not sure exactly what Boguts contract is, but I don't think the Jazz could afford this roster. Then again, with AK's contract coming off the books maybe they could.

Ya I was calling for the Jazz to make a move for him before the start of last season since I felt like we could contend but now that we're developing a young team and not competing for a championship I just don't think he is worth what we would be giving up to get him.

Iggy is one of my favorite players and I've always wanted him here but right now he just wouldn't fit. He wouldn't push us into contention status and his contract is fairly burdensome on top of that. By the time we're ready to try and contend again he is going to be dropping out of his prime anyways.

It's just too bad we couldn't have made a move for him before the start of last season. Iggy and Deron back court would have been amazing...
