As much as I love him as a player, getting a top 3 pick for a guy that has never even made an All Star team (not saying it means ****, but it matters for the purposes of perceived value) is a lot to ask, even in this "weak draft."

I think that's a great deal for you guys and a nice deal for us. Bogut and Favors could potentially be the top defensive frontcourt in basketball within a couple of years. The trade off is that the Jazz do not have the potent perimeter scoring, and an Al/Bogut combo wouldn't work too well because neither can effectively guard perimeter bigs or hedge the pick and roll well enough. You have to have Favors in for defense, but who knows how good he will ever be offensively. The only way to make it work is with a high scoring wing (or two). I don't think Hayward is that, and I highly doubt we'll luck into one in the draft. Hard to fill that team out, but the prospect of a dominant defensive frontcourt is enough to sell me.

Just not enough for me to throw the 12 in as sweetener.

I love the trade and don't think it would be out of the question for the Bucks, but I always come back to the injury prone Bogut. Sure, all the games he missed he probably could have played in some, but due to tanking, etc the Bucks didn't play him. The combo of Favors, Bogut and Jefferson would be so fun to watch though.
Jazz_Man_86 on Favors:

"He is not Dwight Howard. He's max is 20 + 13 + 2 = is this a supers tats? No."

Dwight 2011-2012 - 20.6 Points - 14.5 Rebounds - 2.1 Blocks

The talk of the #3 + Jefferson for Bogut is absolutely insane...

Do you guys not remember how dominant Jefferson was going into the end of the year? He was one of the top big men in the entire league...he is going to be playing at that level for the entire upcoming season now that he is fully recovered from his knee issues. If you're trading Jefferson + #3 you better be getting someone healthier and quite frankly better than Bogut. Bogut and Jefferson are comparable in my mind so maybe a straight up swap but no chance in hell do you make that move if it costs you the #3 or more too....

I've always loved Bogut...his recent health has been concerning but I still think he would be great here. I don't think I make a move for him though since we just don't need him. He would only be taking Favors minutes and I'm just too big of a believer in that kid right now to do something like that. Least that's my rational at the moment...

...on a losing team. Story of his career so far. He puts up big numbers and his team loses.

I'm be curious to see if he can reverse the trend next year, but I wouldn't hesitate to deal him for someone like Bogut.
