Free Mario Chalmers!

Well, this thread is pretty self-explanatory. The time to unleash Mario Chalmers has come. Watching Bibby 'defend' Barea is like Pro's vs. Joe's.

Chalmers has played well in every game this series. Bibby has not. It's pretty simple.

Now everyone can understand why I had Rio's back all season. Good for some boners, but still gives you back more than he takes away. Active hands, functional defense and he has the confidence to take big shots and make them. He also spaces the floor well and can make plays on the offensive end. We'll resign him, but I still hope we get a good starter in the offseason. PEACE.

He fouls a lot though. lol He would probably get fouled out if they kept him the game for long periods of time. And he gets away with a lot of fouls as it is right now.

I don't want to see Bibby's face again.

I think part of the reason he fouls so much is because he knows he doesn't have to play 40+ mins so he can gamble. It happens when a lot of players become bench or limited players.

Zo for example in 2006, or even Haslem right now. Although that could just be him not being able to cover without fouling an elite player who is good at drawing fouls. His ball denial has been good but once he catches he has fouled too much.

Its funny you say that because Barea gets away with fouls all freaking night long, they FINALLY called one on him for getting too aggressive last night. If they're not gonna call them on Barea, they shouldn't be called on Chalmers either.

Barea is destroying Bibby. IMO Chalmers has to start.

Bibby is becoming more and more useless. THey don't even make plays for him anymore lol.

It's like when Peja is out there for them.

Yea I Think me and you were the only ones preaching why he should be getting minutes over Arroyo earlier in the season.

whenever Barea is on the court, Chalmers MUST be on the court... PERIOD !!

Our stupid coach is going to lose us this series if we're not careful.

Chalmers must have had two good games for this love. Let's hope "Bad" chalmers doesn't return in G6 or G7.

I'm good with seeing more Chalmers and less Biby, but the "Barea is destroying Bibby" thing is getting blown out of proportion. Barea is 5 of 10 on shots against Bibby in these last few games, which is very solid for Barea but hardly dominant. Several of those were 3s taken 2-3 feet beyond the arc which are shots that, as a defender, you can live with overall because Barea is a mediocre 3 pt shooter (35%). He's a streaky explosive guy and he got hot so he hit several of them. That will happen. But not many coaches would be asking their PG to play Barea much closer when he is 26-27 feet away from the basket.

While I agree that the "destroying Bibby" is getting blown out of proportion, but Bibby is USELESS if his shot aren't falling down.

"I felt that he's been a big part of who they've become,'' Carlisle said after practice at the AmericanAirlines Arena. "He's a better all-around player than people probably believe. Off of this series, he's their fourth most dangerous player if you look at the stats.

"He's a kid that's not afraid of the moment as everyone saw in the finals of the college championship game. … We have to treat him with a high level of respect and we are.''

"I think [Chalmers] is quicker, longer and stronger than Bibby,'' Barea said.

Barea on Bibby is more than a scoring issue. Barea gets penetration at ease on Bibby, so the rest of the defense has to rotate to adjust. So Dallas' ball movement has been granting them good percentage looks while Bibby is on the floor. This is just based on what I'm seeing. When Rio is in, there is far less of it. Barea also defends Bibby better. Whenever Bibby picks up his dribble, it's embarrassing how much Barea crowds him. PEACE.

Chalmers did everything wrong in the 4th quarter tonight. Not that Bibby would have been better, but man Chlamers was terrible
