Spo needs to understand Bosh's game

Post#1 » by tmac101 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 3:12 am

During these playoffs I've notice how much Spo mis uses Bosh. Having watched bosh in his entire 7 years in Toronto Bosh was a player who played in the post facing up and attacking the basket on 80% of his possession and if he was left open he would shoot the jumper.

What I noticed with bosh on Miami is the lack of plays ran for him in the post. Instead I've seen numerous plays ran for him which are set jumpers which is not maximizing boshs talents. Therefore this could be view as a flaw in some of miamis inconsistency at times.

Spo needs to GTFO.

He's the most incompetent coach I have EVER seen in an NBA Final.

He's been carried by his players.

He's making Mike Brown look like a genius. He's wasting all the talent that he has. He's a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) moron. He has no answers. He doesn't know what adjustments are. He is as stubborn as if he already won 10 titles with his style.

So now Mike bibby is the scapegoat? Its weird, on this board we've gone through sooo many reason as to why we lose games we shouldn't. I remember people blaming Spo, then they jumped on Bosh. Then they went through all the roleplayers, from Miller all they down to House. Hell, I remember some people even jumped on D-Wade when he had a awful game or two. But now its Mike Bibby. He's our scapegoat now.

And who's fault is that ?
Everybody knew Bibby was a bad defender before he came to Miami.
Who's using him ? He's not putting himself in the starting line-up.

Losses have many fathers, as the saying goes. To blame Bibby isn't proportionally incorrect. He's a PG whose only skill set is hitting the 3, but he can't even do that. In 2 games he's scored zero. In 2 others he's scored 5 total points. He has 5 assists for the series! He played well in game 2. When you're getting that sort of production from your starting PG, it's comical.

Center is no different. No points production. Little rebounding.

Bosh disappears during crucial stretches. He shot 50% on the season, but is shooting 35% in the Finals. So blaming Bosh isn't that far off target either.

LeBron's scored 15-points in the fourth-quarter of 5 Finals games. 15! Terry scored 8 tonight! Which also happens to be how many points LeBron scored in game 4, total. So he gets plenty of blame too.

But then there is Spoelstra, who puts these players in a position to fail. A coach that can't make adjustments. Who has yet to install a workable offensive system that maximizes his players' talents. In other words, if failure has a father, of all the fathers, Spoelstra is the the stud of the stable, the most prolific breeder of disaster on our sizable payroll.

Yeh, I also followed Bosh on toronto and I agree with this.

When they post up bosh he can score and/or get to the line really easy.

But Spo plays him like the 2006 Haslem...

Bosh needs to demand the ball in the post next game.

Btw, chalmers playing only 24 when was just a crime...

The problem with using him like he was used in Toronto is that he tended to hold on to the ball for a while before scoring. This would stifle the offensive flow of the game. He can score efficiently in this situation, but this effectively makes him the 1st option, which should never happen when Wade and LeBron are on the same team.

He didn't ever seem to be clutch, but he wasn't too bad in that respect either.

Basically he has to learn to be a 3rd option.

It's not like the current offense has the ball moving fluidly, anyway.
It's ISO after ISO after ISO.

Bosh holding the ball too long would just take time from Wade or Lebron holding the ball too long at the 3p line. So no problem there.

Precisely. I wish I knew what he brings to the table because everything seems to be weak: shooting, defence, and playmaking ability.

If the Heat wants Bosh to be a shootr they should have just looked to add someone like Channing Frye...better in that role. But Ive mentioned this on the Knicks Board when weve discussed whats going on...the Heats offense looks lost...has no fluidity to it. Honestly...the Heat on offense has the same ugh feeling as watching the Knicks on defense...lost. obviously not as bad...but ugly and disjointed never the less.

A lost offense which was statistically among the elite in the NBA and which is in the NBA Finals. Other teams should try to get lost more.

Are you watching a different finals then the rest of us? Try not being so defensive. The point is to want the team to be as best as possible right? Or is the point to be defensive? The Heat as great as the individual comonents are, are lost on offense in the finals. If they werent theyd already be celebrating their first title together...but who cares about that right?

We can very easily make Bosh (and Haslem) very effective in these final 2 games IF WE DO THIS~!!~

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1118681

^^ We are not making Dirk work on defense AT ALL !! Meanwhile the |Mavs are beating up LeBron with shoves all through he first 3 quarters making him work so hard on defense going through a TON of picks and screens.. this is why LeBron is worn out in the 4th quarters for offense while Dirk is getting such a free pass as the Heat are not targeting Dirk AT ALL with his defense in the first 3 quarters.

You saw us use picks and screens on Dirk in the 4th quarter of game 5, and the athletic haslem and athletic Bosh had a bunch of easy layups and Dunks right over the slow Dirk (as Dirk has bad lateral movement ability on defense).. and then of course, WE WERE SO STUPID going back to our bad habits in the final 4 minutes veering away from what was working on Dirk , and went back to our silly hero ball taking long distance jumpshots. smh

We need to attack Dirk early and often in games, IN THE FIRST HALVES, and get that bastard tired and worn out by setting a ton of picks and screens RIGHT over him with Wade. lebron.chalmers and Bosh, haslem etc

We win if we do this. I cannot emphasize enough how important this is.

If we attacked Dirk's defense starting from Game 1, and made him work really hard on that side of the ball in the first 3 quarters, then right now we have this series already won and are NBA Champions.
