3 Way Trade Idea (CHA-SAC-PHX)

Post#1 » by ZackAttack23 » Wed Jun 8, 2011 10:42 pm

Here's my idea which involves us getting the 7th overall pick:
Charlotte gets the # 7 overall pick from the Kings and Vince Carter
Sacramento gets D.J. Augustin, Stephen Jackson, Gana Diop, and the 39th overall pick.
Phoenix gets Francisco Garcia and Tyrus Thomas

With the 7th overall pick we take Kemba Walker. Then with the 9th overall pick we select Chris Singleton. Then last, but not least we take Nikola Vucevic. Then hopefully if there is no lockout we sign Mke Dunleavy, Steve Novak, Etan Thomas, and last but not least Jacob Pullen who will be a rookie and I don't believe a team will draft him. Obviously this team will at least be a 1st rd team or 2nd rd team, so we won't be anything special in 2011, but we get rid of Diop and Thomas' contracts and hope for the best in 2012!

Our depth chart would look like this:
PG: Kemba Walker, Shaun Livingston, Jacob Pullen
SG: Vince Carter, Gerald Henderson, Matt Carroll
SF: Chris Singleton, Mike Dunleavy, Steve Novak
PF: Boris Diaw, D.J. White, Eduardo Najera
C: Kwame Brown, Nikola Vucevic, Etan Thomas

What about this trade:

Charlotte In:

Marc Gasol(s&t), Rudy Gay, Bulls 2012 1st(back)

Memphis In;

Asik, Taj Gibson, Jackson, Bobcats #9th

Chicago In:

Gana, Mayo, Arthur, Haddadi(or Bobcats #19th)

The phoenix trade is ridiculous. The second trade is great for us, but I seriously doubt Memphis has any desire whatsoever to move Gasol.

With our strategy in place I don't see any deals being made short of trading Diaw for cap space and a song (and THAT won't happen until the trade deadline, if at all). We are in rebuilding mode, and I doubt the FO makes any more sudden moves that tie up $ and cap room.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

No to these deals. Anything that makes us just as good or worse than when Wallace was here is pointless.

You wouldn't do the second deal, Rich? Really? Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay, and a 1st rounder for Stephen Jackson, two picks, and getting out from Diop's contract?

Obviously I see no way that deal goes down for the other two, but what a lulzy deal from our perspective.

Mark Gasol and Rudy Gay? Just as good or Worse than when Wallace was here? Really? You do understand that adding Mark and Rudy to the team we have right now makes us extremly competitive right. Maybe top five in the east. Especially with the Celtics all looking at rocking chairs. Look at this depth chart. That team would not be bad at all.

DJ, Livingston, 39
Jack, Hendo, Matt
Rudy, Jack, Cunningham
Boris, TT, White
Mark, Kwame, TT

And then adding icing to the cake even though this team would make the playoffs we would still be getting our pick and the trade pick in next year's deep draft.

This trade happens when Steve Kerr gets his job back and MJ receives a sex tape of the Maloof brothers going at each other.

Even then, as Barkley would say, it's turrible for us.

Creative proposal Marvel. From our perspective, this would be a coup. Provided Gay makes a full recovery, this line-up would instantly propel us back into the playoffs and we may even be a second or thirs round caliber team.

DJ / Livingston / Temple
Hendo / Carroll / Temple
Gay / Cunningham /Najara
Diaw / Tyrus / White
Gasol / Kwame

That said, unless Heisley's finances are secretly in the same state as Shinn's last year (exhaused line of credit from the league, IRS trouble, etc), dont see any reason why Memphis would do this.

Hell yeah sign me up for this trade!! We dump a ton of salary and have 2 top ten picks on rookie contracts along with our 19th pick. This is a dream trade and would give us a ton of flexibility going forward to rebuild the team properly. But I would not sign Mike Dunleavy or any of those players to multi year contracts. Unfortunately this trade cannot happen. Vince Carter will be a free agent this summer because his contract has an 18 million dollar TEAM option. *sigh* Too bad because this would have been a top 5 lottery team and we could have added another quality youngin next summer. Instead we will finish in our usual 9th spot. *sigh* *sigh* *sigh*

Jacob Pullen was the most overrated player in college basketball this year. That is all.

MJ and HIG need to be really carefull or they could screw up the Bobcats for 5 years to come.
Look what the Chandler deal got us? FYI.. 16 boards 13 points in Game 4 NBA Finals for DALLAS
Look what the Wallace Deal got us?
Look what letting Raymond walk got us?
We have no center now?
I predict DJ walks after this next season if there is one. Who's our point then.
This draft coming up and free agency will write the legacy of this franchise for next 5 years.

why the hell would we trade DJ? Thats stupid, and to get a player who is the exact same????? And we lose Jax? Would we even win a game?

Hello building for the future! Plus we could pick up Harrison Barnes next year if we did terrible! Let's just say I'm a patient fan. I'm hoping that in 2012 we will put together a very good quality team!

Uh, you do know that Raymond ended up in Denver and couldn't beat out Ty Lawson for the starting spot, right?

^Uh, you do know leting a player walk without any return for him whatsoever isn't exactly a smart move, right?
