I'm not in the Jimmer camp, and I like Collison, but I don't think the Pacers are strong enough at point guard to pass up a pg at #15 if they think he is the best player available.

Point guard or shooting guard, it really doesn't matter. What they need is someone that can make some plays in the backcourt for themselves.

#15 and Rush for #23 and Jordan HIll

I'd take a risk and draft reggie jackson, he could be a solid backup pg. and jordan hill still has a ton of potential just never really received an opportunity. I think hill would play real well along side hibbert

I would easily trade down 8 spots for a chance to give Jordan Hill the opportunity to put it all together. I'm not sure Houston would do so, though.

I really, hope you're wrong in the long term, and that Collison is the answer. However, there is reason to doubt that it may not have been O'Brien's fault that Collison didn't excel. Maybe, just maybe, it was that Collison is more Travis Best or TJ Ford than Mookie Blaylock.

LOL, sounds like Fredette might not even get past the Kings at #7...

Considering how Collison was playing against Rose and how he and our team played when he was able to play his style, i'd say we are in good shape at the point. Depth wouldnt hurt though, but we could use a 4 much more than adding a backup 1. *slowly turns his stare to AJ Price*

He had 1, maybe 2 good halves. And they were both in the 1st half. He might the least clutch player in the NBA. Putting the ball in DC's hands late in the game is about as effective as this...

Still no to Jimmer.

I don't really like Jimmer either, but if he ends up available at the 15th, i'd take him over guys like Klay Thompson, etc. He's talented, no queston about it, but i really couldn't see him as someone who would find Paul George for an alley-oop. On a fastbreak with George up front, there's a good chance he'll end up taking the three especially if he's open. What i mean is, he wouldn't be the "Jimmer" he is now without being primarily a scorer. Him being a very accurate shooter is a good thing, but look at guys like Redick and Adam Morrison.
With that, i'd be cheering for Marshon Brooks.

the interesting question is how far you could slide and still have a shot at Brooks. I like Shumpert, Donatas, the kid who played in Japan, and the kid from South American later in the first not to mention the two Purdue kids and Mack.

Brooks is shooting up the draftboards so you don't trade back to get him.

I still hold out hope for Darren, only because basketball is his religion, and you can't blame him for the system that was in place when he arrived. Once Obie left he seemed to settle in with his mates better. A lot of questions will be answered this upcoming season.

4th quarter performance is all experience. You saw it with the Heat vs. Mavs, and you saw it against the better teams during the season.

I think a player like Kemba Walker could step right into the NBA and be a go to guy in the clutch. I don't ever see Darren becoming that. Kemba was that guy at UConn. I don't think Darren was that kind of player at UCLA.

I'm not as sure. Even players like Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade need at least a season to adjust.

I don't know if DC will ever be as good as they were when they were rookies. Wade & Rose can do whatever they want with ball, DC can't. If DC can grow 4 inches and gain 50 pounds before the next season starts then we might be able to put him in this conversation. He'll probably have to worry about the feds first. But I don't see him ever being a go to guy with his skill set.

He doesn't need to be. We just need to overall execute better in the 4th as a team.

Comparing college careers is kind of pointless. Collison had WAAAYYY better teammates than compared to Kemba who essentially was the Jimmer of UConn. I think Collison can be clutch just not all star clutch. Certainly I don't think he shys away from making a big shot or pulling the trigger like Kemba and I think Kemba college heroics won't completely translate to the NBA. Certainly he will have a really tough time finishing like Collison do to his size but he will have the quickness that will help him a lot.

Kemba will have to improve his 3 point shot in order to function well in the NBA.
