Put it this way - at least we made it

Post#1 » by WadeInTheWater » Mon Jun 13, 2011 3:07 am

There are players from 30 teams sitting at home on their couch twiddling their thumbs including MVP Rose, Kobe, Dwight etc.

Sometimes you have to suffer defeat (in James' case twice) when you are so close to glory to really WANT IT and i posted a few days ago that only Wade WANTED this series and the rest were there to make up the numbers, lets hope through this pain they come back stronger.

Every single Mavs player wanted it including the one that can't play basketball (Cardinal). The only way is up from here Heat nation.

I didn't expect Heat to make it to the Finals this year, but Heat actually had a legit chance.

They had missed opportunities...

But LBJ was garbage and I was shocked. He was -24, how the hell does that happen to what was supposedly the best player in the league.

Mavs just made shots, were better, wanted to win.

In 2006 Wade would take over the 4th, I will never understand why he doesn't do that anymore. LBJ was great in the past series, but... don't know what to say.

Agree..... Look at our bench. We had juwan howard playing In the finals. Also mike miller was a huge disappointment all year long. We need a Deadly 3 point shooter. Hope there is no lockout, this team will be scary when we start fixing the bench. Look how far we made it with only 3 guys.

The Heat have the personnel to compete, but it is going to be a long time before I can trust the mental composure of this team on the biggest stage.

I REFUSE TO SETTLE !!!!

You should too.
With a better coach all this wouldn't have happened.
Lebron would have been put in a better position to succeed, Wade too, and then everybody would be kissing their asses instead of turning on them like a bunch of jackals.

Wow. Maybe you're right, but right now I just feel empty about sports. I root for the Utah Jazz and watched them losing twice in the finals vs the Bulls just to never go there....

I did root for Malone in 2004 and he actually lost 1-4 vs Pistons. I did root for LeBron all those years in Cleveland just to be 1st seed and be frustrated 2 years in a row, losing the finals vs the Spurs too...

Now I still root for him but... **** it. I'm a guy that really puts heart when watching sports but maybe I should stop watching. It's nothing but disapointment after disapointiment (and you don't wanna know the rest, since I'm European so I also have of course my team in Europe... but it's even more sad than this).

We know since the beggining it would be tough.

We won against Bulls because LBJ played fantastic bball the whole series, but it was harder series imo. If we played like this before, Bulls would advance with a 4-0.

Once he played badly, kinda choked, our problems were exposed. Our role players are worse. We have poor perimeter shooting. We suck at the paint. We have a bad coach.

And we managed to go that far.

Let's remember the Lakers have a very strong team (they were 'favorites' to win it all in the beggining of playoffs) and lost 0-4 to that same Mavs team.

So it's time to take care of the weakness. Find a real Center, some pieces here and there, a legit coach. And hope Lebron plays his average game all the way.

You guys should never have taken on Bosh as well. It's that simple. It left no flexibility to maneuvre in regards to roster. Wade and Lebron would/will be a killer one, two punch. But they need role players to surround them. Not old men, (Howard, Bibby, Dampier, Ilgauskus and boderline Miller.) and Rookies, (Anthony and Chalmers.)

I am in no way knocking Bosh as a player, (in fact, I think he was probably your most consistent player these playoffs!) However he is probably the player, Miami could do without. Haslem is a solid PF, and he already knows Wades tendancies as well. You could have gotten someone to back him up, with J.Howard as a 3rd option, and invested in a more solid Centre and Midlevel type money PG. (Aaron Brooks would have been perfect with Wade and LeBron, maybe you can get him from Phoenix!)

I am not saying I wanted Miami to win THIS year, I didn't. I'm a Rockets fan so my hatred of all things Dallas is innate. I was actually hoping that the finals would get cancelled some way, so thaat neither team won.

Well look forward to a long offseason. Maybe this is what the players actually need to rest/heal, and comeback next year. Either way, we are in for a hell of a ride this offseason.

this was not Bosh's fault man....

he didn't even get a bunch of touches

sure he had costly turn overs, but the Heat as a whole had bad defense at the wrong time, the Mavs were just making shots.

Bosh was the best player today, but wasn't involved much. That's what happens when you have Wade and LBJ on your team in the Finals :\

the defense all night was terrible due to the fact Heat never changed anything, and that it wasn't a good defensive system against THIS team.

2 games from winning it all is not indicative of any flaws in the plan. Lack of execution down the line cost us. There will always be a loser. This season, it was us. Next season, we'll be back with another chance. Let's just hope there's no lockout so we get another crack at it. PEACE.

This.

Tonight was the biggest game of LeBron's career, and he SUCKED. This was the biggest or 2nd biggest of Wade's carrer - and he SUCKED.

Bosh was the only player that actually showed up.

I'm pretty certain we are never living this down. You don't have stars come together like this and not win a championship unless it's against another super tear. This **** sucks.

In regards to the idiot above me. I hope we stop trying to be the "good guys" of the league.. because we are clearly not that and will never be that. The only thing I want our players apologizing for next year is when there is a rare loss.

Free trow of the stars was horrible in the finals, and the lack of defense and offense in the last 7 minutes is shocking. We need a better bench and a better coach... Lebron, wade and Bochum should work on free throws and execution ending games on the summer. They will be here next year and if they don't work their asses off they won't get it either...
