If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

More like, "I don't care what people have to say because I'm happy with what I've done and they do what they have to do"

See how easy it is to twist one's words?

Not even remotely what he said or was implying.

Pretty impressive that in the short time since this thread was started he's been able to damage his legacy even further.

I don't think he destroyed his legacy at all. At least they went to the finals. It would've been an even bigger disappointment if they lost to the Celtics and never got to the end. The Heat will still be a top team for years to come and if they got a few more cracks at the finals, they'll win one.

That said, Lebron's reputation and likability have gone down even further with his post game conferences. I thought the press was asking stupid questions, but Lebron followed up with stupid answers.

I keep reading that all this negativity will be forgotten if he wins, but what if he wins while being carried by Wade? will his legacy be restored?

If he wants to be known as Pippen 2.0 I guess so.

Celtic Esquire wrote:In post game press conference, these words came from the lips of LeBron James, "The people who root against me have to wake up with their same personal problems tomorrow while I live my life doing what I wanna do."

That's the actual quote.

I can't believe he said that...oh my god...I heard him say it and I was like, "You did not just say that.'" That's just...wow. That was one of the most offensive and ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Hon-essim wrote:Legacy-wise, not so much. The Heat did beat the odds and reached the Finals.

His bad Finals series is made up for by his defense on Rose.

Of course current perception is different but right now Lebron is around that Oscar range of being disappointing considering what you would expect from a player but he's also one dominant playoff season from establishing himself as the best but without any of the antagonistic expectations that comes from being the GOAT successor.

Also, one has to consider if Lebron destroys his legacy than he destroys Dirk's and this is Dirk's true attempt at establishing himself as a great player because of how this Heat team was built.

? they didnt beat any odds, they were expected to win it all this year AND atleast make the finals.

Ya this hurt there legacy but they still got plenty of time to win.
