Pretty much how I feel. We don't need the guy to be an offensive threat. Just attack the rim, play some mean defense, block shots, and hustle. Love pretty much handles the rest. They are the PERFECT fit next to each other. Kanter has too many ifs and I question the fit next to Love defensively.

Offensively though Kanter is probably the best fit out of any big in this draft.

This.

I just don't see the point in even remotely considering Kanter. He's not a defensive force by any means.

Beasly
Love
Ridnour
Wes
Webster
Flynn
Ellington
Randolph
Tolliver
Hayward

...are all jump shooters we don't need some jumpshooting center. Randolph, Pek, and Love are respectable around the rim. Darko is ok at the rim when he rarely goes to dunk otherwise he shoots that @*!#^@*# hook shot. Beasley is ok when he drives to the hoop too i guess.

This is more or less where I put biyombo. Will get 2-3 blocks per 36, probably 3 Orb, will shoot around 55+%. Since he will only score on the immediate dunk when he gets the offensive board or he will be spoon fed by rubio. Somewhere around Chris anderson/Beans annoying Defense and Deandre jordanesque offense.

Here's the list of players with those stats last season: http://bkref.com/tiny/cWAgA

I just hope we can get Biyombo + something. For me Ideally we'd do a CLE deal, but instead of the #8 we'd get a top 10 protected pick with sliding protections(10/8/5/3/none) there after.

Biyombo/Darko/Pek
Love/Randolph
Beasley/Webster
Wes/Ellington
Rubio/Ridnour

Maybe wing a deal with a playoff team and send them tolliver.

My bad. Is the ythread titled: "Predraft Workouts" now just a place to talk prospects?

DX videos for Biyombo and Motiejunas:
http://www.draftexpress.com/article/201 ... y-One-3746

If you look closely you can see both Kahn (centercourt) and Ronzone (red shorts/top of arc) on the sidelines watching Biyombo's workout. And boy was it ugly. I felt bad for the kid.

Motiejunas couldn't shoot either. But he has really improved his body. Could be available at 20.

The missed layups are bit brutal.

he's an absolute STEAL if he is available at 20...especially in a draft like this...i sincerely doubt he isn't gone in the top 15.

Some of the overseas prospects that may be available in the 2nd round (Bertans and Mirotic more likely to go in the 1st, but you never know). Given the presence of Ronzone and Philo, I'm guessing the Wolves will look for a 2nd rounder or two for draft n' stash purposes.

Adam Hanga

This is the guy that I think will be targeted if they do target someone. He's an automatically eligible 6'7", 200 lb SG from Hungary who averaged 17.6 ppg/4.4 rpg/ 3.4 apg and 2.8 apg for Albacomp (a team he spent 5 years with). I have no idea the level of competition in Hungary, Albacomp was the 2nd best team in the league, but I don't know what level of play to compare it to. He just signed a contract with Assignia Manresa (no idea how long) in Spain, so the rubber should meet the road next year for him when it comes to competition.

He looks like garbage in the first video I'll post (footage from an exhibition match against Italy), but from what I've scrounged up he's quick, has a decent handle, does some things that show he might have a decent feel for the game along with nice potential on the defensive end, has really improved his shot (when he gets to spot up) and can get above the rim. He also doesn't seem to have much of a mid range game, tends to get too far under the basket on his drives, and can get overly ambitious as a passer.

He runs fast and leaps really smoothly. Looks fun to watch. I would like to know more. Did I see he was born in '89?

Brooks does not interest me.

I really like this guy with our #20 pick.

Has great physical tools, can play both guard spots and is already a good defender and will only improve.

Couple more European draft n' stash candidates, both wings, both automatically eligible this year.

Xavi Rabaseda

Played on the same team as Biyombo for part of the year (until Biyombo left for the Hoop Summit). Fairly skilled, decent athlete, runs the floor defense needs work. DX was pretty high on him at one point this year. His shot appears to have tailed off since then. This was his first year getting significant minutes in the ACB.

Bojan Bogdanovic

Croatian who has been on DX's radar for 5 years. They had him in the 1st round from late November until early May. Talented scorer with a versatile arsenal (particularly his shot), not an elite athlete, really busted out this year, becoming the go to guy for his team in the Adriatic league (Cibona Zagreb). First video I'll post is him going against Jan Vesely.

Yup, born in '89 so he's automatically eligible for this draft. I also wish I knew more, particularly about the quality of the competition he faced in Hungary (I'm guessing it wasn't anything special) given that he put up 17.6/4.4/3.4 while shooting 57% from the field, 37% from beyond the arc and 65% from the line with 2.8 spg and 1.8 topg. For now I'll settle for runs fast and leaps smoothly.

I really like Williams. Why does he have to play the same position as Love? :curse:
