They weren't kidding when they said the playoffs would come down to coaching and execution.

When a team panics and becomes stagnant and doesn't know what to do on the offense, how about a nice set play you know? Would it kill honestly? Or I guess chucking up 3's are the way to go.

Game 3 seemed like a fluke lol. Dirk turned it over and sure he missed the game winner but scored the last 15 of 22 points, that is beyond crazy.

Also, Spo didn't even call that particular play, Bosh said he asked Haslem for a screen, then LeBron saw him. He said he didn't care if Bosh missed 15 shots, that was his sweet spot. He made it and Heat didn't lose in 5 games!

Meh, this team will only get better. I just hope Spo does his homework over the off-season, gets an offensive system, and find a defensive system that will help against shooting teams. You know he was thinking "oh they can't keep making 3's like that, as long as we protect the paint AGAINST A TEAM THAT CAN HIT 3's, it'll be fine".

Remember that 5 game losing streak where Heat would blow the leads? They were against shooting teams.

I've posted this on the GB. Does anybody know why James Jones didn't get any minutes? Especially with the zone Dallas was playing, why didn't Spoelstra put their 3 pnt champion in the game? He didn't even get a chance, it just seems like a weird decision.

I think he was injured but the Heat didn't report it as an injury. Some of the beat writers said he was in a walking boot at a shoot around last week. Maybe he hurt his ankle? Who knows :dontknow:

I hate to do it but I blame Spo,

I mean he don't have to be fired but he NEEDS A OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR and that is non debatable.

Phil got Tex to coach the defense
Doc got Thibedeou
Spo needs to get a OC, otherwise HE needs to go

JJ and Spo both said he was healthy enough to go. It was just a personnel decision.

Some people would cite that the only reason for not playing your best 3 pt shooter in a series where a zone seems to be killing you would be injury or some other noted detriment. I'm perfectly willing to believe JJ was able to go and Spo just chose not to use him... because he's Spo.

From an outsider's perspective, I think the blame lays with Spo.

From day 1, he was never able to incorporate your 3 superstars' skill sets into his gameplan. It was always individual dominance. Earlier in the playoffs it was Lebron going off - in the finals it was Wade - Bosh was sporadically displaying his skills throughout the playoffs. This inability to maximize his players' talents is that hallmark of bad coaching.

People want to point to Miami's vaunted defense and give Spo kudos, but come on. You have the most athletic backcourt in NBA history (Wade/James) on the perimeter paired with athletic/mobile bigs in Haslem/Bosh/Anthony (James also). That's a solid foundation in itself defensively. When (not if) you guys pick up a true shotblocker next season, you might be looking at the best defense in NBA history.

Offensively, everything is there. Great slashers in Wade/James. Solid spot up shooters in Chalmers/Bibby/Miller/Jones. One of the best bigs (offensively) in the league in Bosh....

Don't get down Heat fans, this team still is going to accomplish great things. IMO there will be a Mav/Heat rematch next season (provided both teams stay healthy). With a different gameplan, maybe the series could go differently.
