2007-2008 - 15 wins - No Playoffs.
2008-2009 - 42 wins - Get to the playoffs, bounced first round.
2009-2010 - 47 wins - Get to the playoffs, bounced first round.
2010-2011 - 58 wins - Get to the finals, lose game 6.

As a Heat fan over the years I am just happy we got back to the promise land and that our window is not close to being closed. I hope that next year we can go over the top. This isn't to say that I am not mad about not winning but in the big picture I feel better about this team than ever. Just a few changes need to be made!

Definitely not devastated. That gutless team staggering around lost and confused last night did not deserve the title. That impostor on the sidelines and the endless stream of bull pouring out of his grinning mouth didn't strike me as someone deserving to be a championship coach. It'll be a longer, slower, more permanent devastation. Our franchise's highest point was dirtied up tonight watching those filthy whiners celebrate on our home court. As fans we've fiercely defended this team against waves of unprecedented hate and they couldn't even be bothered to fight for us in the end.

Self righteous, whining hypocrites won. That's hard for me to get over. I'm not sure I will actually.

Not devastated. We had a good season. I feel sad, but then I think of the Lebron fans who joined the Heat ONLY because Bron came here they must be feeling a lot worse. And those Lebron fans who haven't become Heat fans but who have criticised all Heat players and coaches to defend Bron must feel suicidal today.

No matter how great a player Lebron is there has to be a big question mark next to his name.

I don't know if it's killer instinct or shrinking from the big occasion but from what I can see he's the only Heat player who can really feel as though he COULD be to blame. Bosh went further than ever in the playoffs and blossomed in many ways. Wade showed that he is the best player in the league and the bit part players all at least lived up to expectations - however low those were.

It's going to be a long hard road for Bron. I just hope he's up to it - because that would mean several Heat chips to come.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Dallas $90,000,000 Payroll
Miami $67,000,000 Payroll

It still sucks, but what can $23,000,000 buy us? I hope the NBA doesn't conspire against us in the next CBA.

Go HEAT!!!

This sucked, because we blatantly choked. But I know the shelf life of this team is atleast a strong 4 years. Plus, we've been on the other side. We have a banner up in the AAA. If we never had won before? Oh...I'd be sick.

This basically, even though I didn't watch the 99 series because I was simply too young.

I admit, I was pretty pissed last night but cooled off quickly. I know we were just slightly better coaching and a halfway normal LeBron away from winning the title. As a competitor, I always want to win, whether I play myself or am just rooting for my team. But when you come up short, you can't blame anybody but yourself and just learn from this. I hope we do and will win it next year. Now, if we're at this point again next season, I'll be kinda deveastated because then the doubts will come up whether this works or not.

His late to adjust, filled with cliches, no balls and doesn't get the best out of his talent. Every year under Spo we've been good but good enough isn't enough. He was given the most talented offensive team in the NBA and turned them into a slow tempo defensive system type team. I understand D wins but what about the offense? Isn't the object of the game to score more than the opponent? This off-season people will say he need more talent and then next year we will talk about what else he needs. Every coach in the NBA wishes they had this talent and yet were going to make excuses to why he wasn't able to bring us a title. Its pretty sad that I wasn't even surprised.

Spo = Larry Coker. Nice guy, put in the time for his shot but doesn't get "IT". Hopefully Riley sees his issues and brings him an offensive coach to help support him or another coach all together.

I like your post my man, sitting here listening to the sports radio and I too am just relieved, hopefully this open some peoples eyes as to what REAL adjustments need to be made. I think any other system gets it done.

I had championship expectations after we signed Bosh, Miller and Lebron.

Then the season began and we saw a few problems with our chemistry, Miller hurt and depth. I started to think maybe we are not ready, but I was still confident and even made a $100 bet with a co-worker that we would win it all.

We recovered from a bad start and we hit our stride, I was sure we would win it all. Injuries hit us with Haslem, but we got Miller back, I still expected us to win it all.

Playoffs began and I was sure we would make it to the finals, had a small doubt that we could lose to Dallas, Lakers or Spurs. Still i found it hard to believe Wade + Lebron could lose 4 finals games to anybody, they are used to carrying a whole team on their backs.

First time doubt crept in was when we lost game 4. It was 2 bad losses, Lebron was not playing well at all, our rotation at PG/C was giving us way too little and Dirk seemed like a guy on a mission that would not be denied.

After game 5 I was doubting our team for the first time, but still confident and told myself Lebron will snap out of it and we will win. If not, Wade can go for 30+ or maybe Miller or Bosh can put up 25+ along with Wade and we get to game 7.

I really thought we would reach game 7 and then we would see what our 3 stars were made of, but it wasn't meant to be. They are not mentally tough enough, played will no urgency througout the finals, did not have the desire that Dallas had to win.

I am disappointed, but confident our guys can learn form this, mature and me more mentally prepared for a title run next season where they will win this time.

Yeah once we let game 2 and 4, even we had a small lead with 5 minutes in game 5.
We seriously had a shot at three games, all leads.
But once you drop this type of games, you basically begging to get eliminated, Chicago couldn't close against us, they got eliminated, Oklahoma couldn't close vs Dallas, they got eliminated, Lakers couldn't close out the games with leads vs Dallas they got swept.

I think is not a complete waste, first year Kobe and Gasol they lost in 6 games to Boston.
Shad has lost in 2 finals, so has Kobe. Magic went to 9 finals lost in 4 of those.
Bird lost 2 out 5 in the Finals.
We just got to keep knocking on the door, am at least okay with giving ourselves a shot, we got to the Finals, but we blew it. Though hopefully next year our pieces are healthy, and we have another crack at it, to redeem ourselves.

I just didn't buy in to the fact that Miami was guaranteed a championship. Championships are earned and obviously, these guys didn't do enough to earn that championship and Dallas did.

in scale of 1-10, 10 as being really pissed, im at 7. after we lost game 2 with that big lead, the doubt came setting in. in the back of my mind, we will lose because our coach. through the course of the season he cant really make adjustments.
