We're not getting the second pick in the draft for Amir Johnson. I don't think they settle for anyone worse than Ellis/Granger unless they're getting a top 5 pick back as well. Unless they have an incredible deal for Love in the works, getting Amir wouldn't have a huge impact anyways.

Yeah Henry that deal is TERRIBLE for MIN. I don't think Amir fits with them either.

Your best bet might be something like

To TOR: #2 + Pekovic + Flynn
To MIL: Bargnani
To DET: Maggette + Ersan + #10
To MIN: Hamilton + #5 + #8

That's the only thing I could think of. They get a vet SG and get Biyombo + someone else (Burks?)

I don't even think Derrick Williams is worth giving all that much up for to move up to #2. Outside of Kyrie, and maybe Brandon Knight (who will probably be gone when we're picking), I think I would actually prefer a pick in the 7-11 range in this draft more than our own pick. At that point, taking one of the C's we need won't be quite as risky, and we can trade our own pick for another talent (like a young player at SF like Batum, Wes Johnson, possibly Gallo/Paul George if we add more value).

I would do that. It also makes much more sense... Still might be slightly favoring us.

Throw in a future protected pick and then it would be 50:50

Just cause I am bored:

Minny trades:
#2, Flynn

gets:
#5, #10, Alabi

Minny moves down, sheds a little salary, adds another pick in top 10.

Bucks trades:
Jennings, Bogut, Maggette, Gooden, #10

gets:
Jose, Davis, Flynn, #2, TPE

Bucks shed salary, add a new pg duo, Adds a young defensive potential pf/c and Williams at 2.

Toronto trades:
#5, Davis, Jose, TPE

Gets:
Jennings, Bogut, Maggette, Gooden

Toronto adds a young pg, A true center (albeit unhealthy) and some highly overpaid, somehwhat productive depth at sf/pf. Looses all capspace but allows team to use mle on need.

Jennings/Bayless
Demar/Barbosa
JJ/Maggette/Kleiza
Bargs/Amir/Dorsey
Bogut/FA

heres a semi realistic off-season, not too big trades either. Based on a couple things

1. Draft Knight/Walker
2. Barbosa opts out leaving us room for a C to sign via FA

Trade #1:

To Toronto: Corey Maggette + Luke Walton + Rights to #10 (Bismack Biyombo)
To Los Angeles: Jose Calderon + Keyon Dooling
To Milwaukee: Andrea Bargnani + Steve Blake

* would rather Val be there but i expect Biyombo to be the one who drops.

Toronto gets another top 10 pick and gets its shot blocker in Biyombo, i think hes gonna be there and i like what DX has said about him.

Los Angeles gets an upgrade at PG easily with Calderon which helps them retool and go for another championship next year.

Milwaukee adds a great fit next to Bogut in Bargnani and they wanted a backup vet PG for Jennings who can shoot, Steve Blake gives them that too.

Trade #2:

To Toronto: Desgana Diop + Gerald Henderson
To Charlotte: Corey Maggette + 2012 2nd Round Pick

or

To Toronto: Desgana Diop + Matt Carroll + Rights to #19 (Marshon Brooks)
To Charlotte: Corey Maggette + Conditional 2nd Rounder

Raptos get a SG prospect in Henderson or Brooks.

Bobcats get rid of their worst contracts and get a starting SF.

Free Agency:
* i dont think Marc Gasol/Chandler are realistic, i think Memphis keeps him and he wont want to come here in a rebuilding situation and Chandler after being in the NBA finals you cant really expect him to come here can you? So my 3 targets are.

#1: Deandre Jordan
#2: Greg Oden
#3: Samuel Dalembert

#1 and #2 are young, Oden is a risk but having Biyombo behind him would be nice and hes a guy that could be a huge steal. Jordan is an athletic freak i dont know how easily youll get him from LAC though, hes best friends with Blake Griffin. Dalembert is a nice veteran who you can put infront of Biyombo until hes ready

So worst comes to worst you walk away with Oden.

Brandon Knight / Jerryd Bayless
Demar Derozan / Marshon Brooks / Matt Carroll
James Johnson / Linas Klezia / Luke Walton
Ed Davis / Amir Johnson / Desgana Diop
Greg Oden / Bismack Biyombo / Solomon Alabi

Meh. Its alright. like you said, realistic. Seems like an offseason that BC would do. I do have a few concerns though.

For starters, I'm not a Biyombo fan< I just can't picture him as a starting C in this league. Looks like he'll become a Joel Anthony type guy who I think works because he's on a team with multiple stars but I don't think it would work out otherwise. Secondly, I must admit I don't know much about Brooks but I do know that if Burks is still there, I'd go for him or Val. Third. I do believe there is a trade restriction of 3 months before a player is traded again though I know there is some kind of loophole like what happened with the Bayless trade. But I am kinda on board with Greg Oden. I'm a fan I think he's easily a top 2 C in the game if he's healthy and that's a HUGE if. But the reward would be a franchise C if we luck out.

Overall, it's alright but not....big enough. Like we're familiar with BC and how he does business but I think he needs to start thinking on a bigger scale. Much bigger. He does this little things but nothing big that gives us something solid to hope for in the future. For example, I had posted a trade that has us sending out Calderon and Bargnani and receiving a 2012 draft pick and some expiring contracts. Not saying it going to happen or anything but what I'm getting at is that this team needs moves of that magnitude. We've been doing "roster shuffles" and it hasn't really gotten us any where, So I think BC needs to start thinking a little bigger but still down the rebuilding avenue like shipping out salary and stocking up on picks. If he continues this little "roster shuffling" it will be a VERY unnecessarily lengthy rebuilding stage.

If Barbosa opts out TPE for Flynn and Minny 2nd.
Minny wants him gone.....at worst a year rental if there is a season get to try him at PG and Barbosa role the same as Bayless.
Maybe use 2nd to get Corey.

Want our 1st for Jonas even if we have to wait a year.
Don't think we need to do a big trade especially not for someone like Oden.

How about:

To Phoenix: Amir Johnson

-get a big man that can score down low
-pairs well with Nash

To Toronto: Mikael Pietrus + #13

-lose Amir for #13 and an expiring contract

Bayless/Knight(#5)/[Calderon]
DeRozan/Barbosa
J.Johnson/Pietrus/Kleiza
Davis/Dorsey
Bargnani/Biyombo(#13)/Alabi

My rationale is that we have a glut of PFs, and Amir and Davis bring a lot of the same. I wanna ride Davis as I think he has a higher ceiling. We need to move some of our talent at PF to another position (in this case a temporary SF/expiring and a C in Biyombo).

I'd value Amir more than anyone at #13, unless if someone we want with our own #5 pick really unexpectedly drops. Amir is on a great contract, is a guy that can be a productive starter or bench guy at PF, and really plays well on both ends of the floor and is still just 24. You need good bench bigs, and Amir is one of the best.

For the 13th in this draft I'd rather keep Amir. It's not like Amir has a negative impact. If that deal was for Bargnani, Calderon or Klieza I'd be all over it, but of course that would require more parts.

Since the Lakers are obviously having their title runs now, what about this?

To Lakers: Andrea Bargnani + Jerryd Bayless

To Raptors: Luke Walton + Derrick Fisher (bought out) + Shannon Brown + Picks (not sure what's fair)

I know the Lakers rob us value wise, but we cut 2 years off Bargs deal and speed up the rebuilding process. The Lakers add another epic bench threat. And of course, I'm one of those that believes we go no where with Bargs.

Or possibly something simpler like:

Bargnani for Fisher (bought out) + Brown + Barnes + Ebanks?

Not bad, I believe we only need Amir or Ed. I rather have Ed and Reggie, and use Amir as a trade chip
