I wanted the Jazz to draft Aldrich or Davis during the draft, was disappointed to get Hayward. I know that Davis had a nice year, but, I haven't heard much about Aldrich.
I understand he probably didn't get many opportunities for a playoff team like the Thunder, but, what did you guys see out of him in the minutes he did get?

How is Aldrich looking?
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Don't everyone talk at once.

Honestly, he is really REALLY slow from end to end. Plus he couldn't stay on the floor without fouling.
If I recall correctly I think he had one "good" game. But like you said he was on a playoff team and didn't get a whole lot of opportunities, but the chances he did get didn't really make me go ewwww and awwweee.
What do you want to trade for him? To keep with the theme of realgm we will only agree to the trade if an All-Star is coming back to us.

Well, that was before we traded for Jefferson, so not much need for another center. But, if you want a slightly used Raja Bell, I'd be happy to swap.

Re: How is Aldrich looking?
I would have loved Raja Bell a couple years ago. I liked the fact that he was a good defender and he shoot a good percentage from 3 and he took a boatload of them in Phoenix. But today with Harden emerging, Thabo being a defensive stopper and Cook being a 3 ball specialist I think we are pretty covered at the wing.

Re: How is Aldrich looking?
Cole Aldrich has the regrettable combination of slow foot speed and mediocre strength / mass. I don't think he'll ever be particularly agile, so gaining mass and strength will be his best bet toward becoming a useful rotation player. He's supposedly intelligent, so experience should improve his reaction time and initial positioning which could make up for some of the lack of foot speed.
I actually don't like Cole's fit on the team now with Perkins signed long term. That gives us four big men who have very little offensive game.

Too foul prone, that's the first thing he must correct to earn minutes. At present he can't make any contribution on the court except for some ocassional blocks.

It was a bad move to get him by presti. He took Mo Pete's contract and traded pondexter and someone else to them for aldrich. Aldrich didnt get a chance to prove himself and was injured for quite a while. I dont see why OKC should keep aldrich, he's like a very, very poor mans kendrick perkins.

You can count me as someone who thinks Aldrich has a future in OKC.
I had a chance to watch Aldrich and thought he improved during the year in Tulsa. I think the opinions/observaions of slow transition or slow feet are either overblown or just incorrect. Aldrich has NBA potential as a rebounder and defender and might have more offensive game than Perkins. Aldrich is a good outlet passer and has some potential as a passer overall.
