Okay, he is a lock to become a FA now, woopyyy! Now where does the money come from to sign him with? Oh yeah, Joe is out of the question simply because the back end of his contract says so. Package Josh with others? He may be the best incentive the Hawks have in bringing Howard home period. What about Horford? Well he doesn't have that kind of value, but maybe we can go all in an take Turk and giving up 2 future first('13 & '15). Invest in him possibly being the 6th man. Joe, Josh, Dwight, Teague, Tracy Mcgrady(ring chaser at 3),Hinrich, Turk Collins, Wilkins, Rolle, Sye, plus 2 cheap shooters like Reggie Williams & Vlad Radmonovich looks solid enough to win a championship. Too bad Sund isn't creative enough.

There's no GM creative enough to convince Howard to come to the Hawks.

Of couse Sund isn't creative enough to do this. But Dwight leaving the Magic would be good for the Hawks regardless.(only if he goes to the western conference). If he leaves, the Magic collapse and that's one less "superpower" in the east to deal with. But I still hope he maybe takes a paycut to come home, if not lets hope he goes out west.

This is a simple shot across the bow of the Magic. Fix the team or trade me or lose me for nothing. The fix the team might even be a smoke screen for public relations. It doesn't mean we have a real shot to lure him here, but likely means he has a destination in mind.

The team is near impossible to fix unless you can somehow find someone to take on Arenas' contract. Their pieces don't fit together that well. If the ASG desire to get out of Joe Johnson's contract this might be the perfect opportunity as a desperate Magic team might deal for Nelson/Redick/filler if they have a 2nd deal with a team like Cleveland to land a PG.

Dead on, evildallas.

The only question seems to be whether Howard's already decided where he's going or not.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

The only item to save the Magic from Gilbert is amnesty. They already have to consider resigning JRich. They need more depth on the inside. Bass and Orton aren't going to get it done.
The Magic cannot stand pat; that is a team that will be making changes simply because of Dwight.

They will make changes, but not anything drastic. This is a team more handicapped than the Hawks, Gilbert and Hedo own 2 of the richest contracts in the league and because of this I see the Magic dropping out of the playoffs before the finals and Dwight walking if not getting traded.

Well, Amnesty or no, it costs about $60 million to buy out Arenas......a LOT of money.
CENSORED... No comment.
