Ted writes mostly about the AHL in this blog entry, but this is progress folks...perhaps we will move-up from near the bottom of this list.

I think this says it all. Neck may suck, but he rarely plays. It's not like he taking any time away from N'Diaye "the great D-League prospect".

Yeah, I know some have hope for the kid but frankly, he's not much of a pro prospect. Even teams overseas weren't clamoring for him. He was the 57th pick of the draft so really we shouldn't have been expecting much anyways.

Surprised to see Hamady interviewed for the Wiz site, I appreciate that the guy is a hard worker.

WW.com: Well, you look bigger, have you gained weight?

HN: Yes (laughs). I gained a lot of weight, actually about 20 lbs., and it is all good weight. I’m just continuing with the weight room program as I was doing during the season, and just getting stronger and heavier. I’m just getting ready like the coaches told me to do this off-season. Whatever the coaches told me at that exit meeting is exactly what I am doing.

Another year in Bismark?

Would love an update on Seraphin.

Not that I blame him, being the 57th pick and all.

Ndiaye, having packed on 10 pounds of muscle, was an enthusiastic force in the paint. Singleton was promisingly relentless and eager. Blatche was himself, too quick on the trigger from outside but skilled and powerful when he decided to attack the rim, even if nearly every dunk left him cringing with pain in his right shoulder, which he first injured in late March.

Stoufer on Blatche's "group" workout.

I missed that Blatche was cringing in pain inititally, THAT is a story right-there. We may need the shooting version of Seraphin much sooner. :(

All big man threads eventually arrive at a Blatche discussion.

Were I advising Blatche about the shoulder, I'd tell him not to have any surgery until there's a CBA. Insurance matters.

Hamady N'Diaye has indeed become an afterthought in this thread.

Thanks to Mick Lee for this N-Diaye update. I wonder if he could steal any minutes

Well if he has improved that much, I hope it shows in training camp.

It would be great if he can contribute because up until now, he has mostly simply been a name on the roster.

Could Hamady be the surprise of training camp ?

The Wizards sent him down to the D-League.

Yep, with Turf out, I thought they might fly him to Orlando for one game. I guess we'll role with McGee and Seraphin with AB as 3rd Center.

:o 8 blocks in 28 min, 4PFs though. Just keep him there for the season, he'll never see a minute on the floor unless we have another injury.

He has great defensive potential. He was one of the top shot-blockers in the NCAA.
