Most of the warnings are caused by a power trip. A lot of these warnings I've seen issued are undeserved. Am I saying they're all wrong? No, but it seems like the majority are.

No.

Most of the warnings are from posters breaking the most basic of rules. No insults for example.

Your opinion versus my opinion. Personally, I'll take mine. 8-)

Most of the time a simple Private Message telling the user it's a warning the next time would do the trick. It's common sense.

I've only had 1 warning, every other time I have had a PM from a mod telling me to back off or be careful or whatever. So they do do that, guess you are just an exception for whatever reason.

Well, when your first 5 warnings fall on deaf ears, what recourse do mods have?

If I had recieved 5 warnings that might actually be true. Maybe you should figure out about the situation before speaking on it. Typical Mod behaviour I'm speaking of...

According to your profile you have had 6 warnings, so Yuri mentioning the first five falling on deaf ears was actually correct.

It's sad when a member here ends up with so many warnings they can't even keep track of them. We have pretty simple rules here to follow, each warning you have received has been for such basic things that if you thought before you posted you could have easily avoided them all.

Well you received 5 warnings... but I'm just a mod, too. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Edit: And yet you haven't even been suspended. Consider yourself very lucky.

Hmmmm my bad I guess. 6 warnings in 7 years aren't too bad unless you compare them to guys who have none. It's still funny how pompous and arrogant mods get revealing information like this though, especially when most users probably can't remember how many warnings they've received. Glad I'm not a Mod though, it seems like you get really defensive. But that's because of guys like me challenging you right? Yea...mmhhmmm...I know...

As for the severity of my personal warnings. All I can say is I could care less about thinking before those posts. I'm pretty sure a few are for name calling but I'm not sure what the others were for. It's petty things I enjoy doing, I'm not enough of a board criminal to be suspended. Hence, my desire to never be a mod. I like the boards for the most part, but I'd never be a mod or do enough to get suspended. I bet most of my warnings have been fairly spread out too, or early on. I used to have a temper on these boards until I realized how RealGM users are.

My warning level says 1 too, but I never received a PM from a mod.

Why is that?

My problem with the Mods are no matter what they say things are just not equal across the board. You have basic rules that should apply to everyone and yet some mods let some things slide others don't. i've gotten warnings from my board in the past for having a avatar of an "overtly sexual nature" when it was only a chick in a bra but then i was forced to change it. Then when i'm in other boards i see avatars just as bad as the one i had and they don't get warnings or forced to change. Even to this day they still have the same avy's with no repercussions. Even had a mod tell me that some mods take it more seriously than others. All in all it's not that important but still it's kinda hard to not feel singled out
