Re: Doin' Work GM-A-Team Trades
The Lakers and Bucks have agreed to a deal.
Lakers Trade:
Pau Gasol
Lamar Odom
Bucks Trade:
Andrew Bogut
Corey Maggette
Drew Gooden
L.A: Although it was hard to part with both Pau and Lamar as they were a huge reason we were back to back champions, we felt that the opportunity to add a player of Boguts caliber was one we couldn't pass up. This is a huge step in our process of getting younger, and more defensive oriented while remaining elite competitors.

The Pistons and Pacers agree to a deal.
Pistons outgoing:
Charlie Villanueva: 7,540,000
Kenyon Dooling: 2,246,400
8th pick
Total salaries: 9,786,400

Pistons agree. We do this deal because Tyler Hansbrough has a toughness and tenacity like none other. He exemplifies eveything we envision for Pistons basketball. We believe he will step in right away bring an edge to our team that the city of Detroit hasn't seen in a long time. Not to mention what James Posey brings, an NBA championship pedigree with many years of experience guarding some of the best players of the past 12 years. Pose will definitely bring that veteran leadership which has been lost in Detroit in the last few years.
Pacers accept. CV can be a great player off the bench for us and we feel that a player at #8 can come in and be a great player for us. With Jamison, Hans became expendable.

Bucks Accept. We felt we needed more of an offensive inside out game, and the reigning 6th man oty brings great versatility.

Re: Doin' Work GM-A-Team Trades
On another busy night of trading the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls have a blockbuster.
Washington
Trade
John Wall $ 5,530,080
Javale McGee $ 2,262,400
Rashad Lewis $ 21,138,000
total $ 28,930,480
2011 draft picks #6, #13
Chicago
Chris Paul $ 16,360,000
Carlos Boozer $ 13,500,000
Corey Brewr $ 3,080,000
Tot 32,940,000
28,930,480 x 1.25 + 36,163,100 > 32,940,000 so deal works.
Chicago reloads thinking the potentail of MgGee and John Wall can at least reach the players they traded away. Plus with the picks Chicago can find some diamonds in the draft.
Good trading with the up and comming Wizards.

Accept. This trade gives me a good starting 5 of Paul, Crawford, Brewer, Boozer and Gortat. This also sets me up financially to try and lure Dwight Howard to Washington to form the "Big 4" of CP3, Crawford, Boozer and D12

Why for NJ: We get an exp for the contracts of Outlaw, Petro and Farmar. We have to include assets here, but we think that Jamison can help us for the playoff run and is very valuable for our goal to get another star next to Williams.

Why for Utah? We need an elite defensive Center, and feel Bynum is top 5 in the league. We also save some cash. Bynum/Favors creates a monstrous defensive front court built for the long-run.

NJ accepts, because we get a 2nd star next to Williams that has a very good contract, which allows us to add quality in FA. Losing Lopez hurts a lot, because he is a really nice C, but we save $6,137,794 with this deal to go after FA's and we prefer a defensive C + rebounder.

we both posted the deal, here is how it is exactly, the Lou Williams TPE is smaller then this, but still works because you can add 100k to a tpe for salary match. Nice easy dealing NJ!
Philly sends
pick #54, PHIL 2013 2nd, PHIL 2014 2nd
TPE (from L.Williams trade $3,939,280)
$3,939,280 + 100,000 = $4,039,280 > $4,000,000
NJ sends
A.Morrow $4,000,000
Philly accepts, we really hate losing picks of any sort, but Morrow is a guy we can build with. A deadly shooter that fits well in our plans

It's tough parting ways with Dwayne Wade, who brought the Heat a championship, but we needed new blood in here. I'm a big fan of Tyreke Evans and think he's about to blowup into a superstar. Andre Iguodala continues to help out our defense and between him and LeBron James, we've got a couple of really good defenders. I like Toney Douglass as well. Good, solid role player.
