Or the second pick!

But the third pick, yeah, why not.

Michael Beasley believed in himself too, when he said that he was going to be League MVP in his rookie season.

Do you think Derrick Rose, John Stockton, and LeBron James believe in themselves? The never talk like that. Ever! They let their game do the talking.

LeBron just lets his 7 championships do the talking.

I think you have Stock confused with Derrick Rose and Lebron James. The latter 2 have both talked plenty about their games being MVP worthy. Stock never talked. Have you forgotten about "the decision"? :P

Then again, JStock was never the MVP either...

Seems like Derrick Rose is pretty humble as well to me.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I think he is quieter than a guy like Lebron, but he has said a couple times that he will be and deserves the MVP. He knows how good he is.

ok i dont now if for some one his mentality is a problem or not, but if i could select only on that case-Irving or Williams i would definitely go after duke kid. I think you can be humble and have high opinion of self-worth, but most off all you have to proved on floor what your words mean, thats why i dont like guys who starts there nba experience from talking about how good they will by.

Especially when almost all of them get their trash kicked during a majority of their rookie season, because it turns out to be more difficult than they thought.

All you need to look at to see how "humble" Derrick Rose really is are the number of shots he takes per game.

beasley is one guy. And lebron? Cmon I like lebron but having a massive back tattoo hat says "CHOSEN 1" speaks pretty loudly without saying a word. Also I hate mj and kobe but they also talked a big game and derrick isnt even really saying anything that bad.

This isn't terrible, but it is noteworthy:

Question: Anything about your NCAA tournament that even surprised you?

Derrick William's response:
The Duke game, I wouldn't say it really suprised me, but having 25 points at half time. Not too many people have done that before, especially against Duke. Even I, I amaze myself sometimes.

DJ and PK interviewed a journalist from Sport's Illustrated today who focuses on the draft. Apparently, the number one red flag being raised about Derrick Williams is his "excessive ego." Supposedly it is to the point that is is being considered a detriment.

That being said, as much as I hated Demarcus Cousins last season, he seemed to have pretty strong second half when he decided to shut up and play.

The DeMarcus Cousins story is far from over. I don't see it ending well.

Egos cn be just as good as they are bad. Williams went from being unknown to a potential top pick in 2 years because of his hard work. I don't see him as the kind og guy whose ego is going to stop him from improving.

I kind of like it. It's egoriffic for sure, but not the worst I've seen and it also shows a lot of confidence.

Some of the greatest players in history have big egos. The secret is to have a coach that has a bigger one, or does lots of shrooms and acid (Phil...)

This is being overblown. I wish Jazz could get him with the #3 pick. I think he'd have a chip on his shoulder if he slid to the #3.

Return to Utah Jazz
