I like how he talks about Jimmer not being a pure shooter, some peeps in here might want to listen and learn about Basketball.

Jimmer is a jumpshooter(Volume shooter), just like Redick is.

Sorry Sir Trollsalot, you've got no basketball knowledge to share. Back under the bridge for you!

Sorry sure Mister "on top bridge"; don't be too dissapointed when your hero Jimmer can't make it at the level.

Too bad your Jimmer just doesnt have the length, quickness and shot making ability to make it.

Take it as a victory if it gets to Jon Barry(at Sac Kings) which is more than respectable .

Stay "on top of that bridge sir"!

Again, you will see then you will understand why he took JJ Redick about 4 years to make a shot in the NBA .

Jimmer is not JJ Redick.

Through the grunts and oinks of this obvious troll I get the feeling he thinks I'm a big Jimmer fan, which I'm not. I'm not convinced he'll do much in the NBA - his ceiling is Crawford and his floor is probably Redick, and I'd say it's more likely he ends up as a bench shooter than he ends up a 20ppg guy. What I like is people who know basketball and say things that are insightful and backed by facts. This troll can barely string a sentence together and "facts" are very far from his mind.

jimmer is playing well in 1 v 1 in private workouts and even did better than expected at the combine with some of the higher numbers from the guards in agility drills. please get some sleep, wake up, do some homework and then come back and talk reality instead of posting this nonesense about lack of quickness and shot making ability

If he does one on Knight and Kanter pass it on. I can't disagree with much he says. You have to look at Jimmer's game as a Senior as an exception. He had to go nuts like Curry did. I"m not saying he's Curry but I'm saying you have to consider that when projecting him and his PG skills.

Vesely is a motor man. I think people are in love with skill, skill, skill. We've had a team of mostly skilled players and it didn't go so well. We need balance.

You don't use a top 5 pick on a energy player.

If that's so - why not draft Donatas then? This draft's top 5 is like top 15 in most years and in the top 15 you will see energy guys get selected.

Take the last recognized weak draft - 2006. Tyrus Thomas went 4th. Thabo 13th. Energy guys and both have had decent careers.

It's quite possible that a team (Sacramento? Detroit?) will want to trade up to #5 to pick Jimmer.
Maybe we could swap draft picks and unload Bargnani in a trade like that.

A volume shooter is not the opposite of a pure shooter and there is no correct definition of a pure shooter. It's just semantics. A jump shot can be technically pure according to criteria but who makes this criteria. Many of the great shooters of all time had unique shots. It's a lot like a golf swing.

Jimmer doesn't remind me of Reddick in the slightest I can't imagine why people compare the 2 other than race.

Jimmer is way more creative and can get to the net easier and in many different ways. He also has a great crossover. I also think he has an intangible quality that seems rare. Rubio has it too.

One more thing, people love him and love to hate Reddick.

Drafting Tyrus Thomas at 4 over Roy and Gay was a mistake. Are you telling me you would be happy with Vesely if he ends up having a similar career to Thomas? And like you said Sefolosha went 13 not top 5.

Jimmer is not moving his way up the draft boards that fast. He most likely available around 7 but after that its getting risky if you trying to move up to grab him.

Seems like as we get closer to the draft we are finally starting to sort out the second tier of players...

1)Irving
Williams

2) Kanter
Val
Knight

3) Vesely
Leonard
Jimmer
Thompson
Morris
Walker

The tier 1 players likely go 1-2 in this draft unless Kanter sneaks in. Utah looks like its is deciding between knight and Kanter but would be very happy if Williams fell.

Cleveland looks like they have zeroed in on Irving which makes it most likely that they deciding between Kanter or Val. Rumour has it that they higher on Val anyways so they happy with which ever big they get between the two at this point.

Raptors would love it if Knight fell to 5, if not they would be happy to take the big not drafted at this point.... Vesely is in the mix but I just can't see them drafting a wing who can't shoot...very un bc like

After this it really gets.... yep you know murky....

But as much as I think that this is how it goes down if everyone stays put there going to be a few trades that mess up the top end of the bracket for someone.

going to be a very interesting draft

In this particular draft? I wouldn't mind if Vesely ends up a slightly better Tyrus Thomas at the SF position - sure. Val, Leonard, Walker can all be worse than Vesely. This draft isn't very good.

Givony's latest mock for Yahoo is up. He has it

1. Cle - Irving
2. Min - Williams
3. Uta - Knight
4. Cle - Valanciunas
5. Tor - Kemba
6. Wash - Kanter
7. Sac - Jimmer
8. Det - Vesely
9. Cha - Leonard
10. Mil - Morris

I continue to think BC is just feeding these teams like 7 names and not giving them anything. If I had to bet I'd still place my money on Kanter #5 if he's on the board.

But it's really looking like Val #4 now. With Biyombo dropping. Part of me wonders if one of the reasons Biyombo could fall is that these GMs don't want to get fired. The perception is the Biyombo pick if it doesn't work out, would be a Sene like bomb (not sure I agree with that, but I bet lots do). Lots of GMs in the lottery couldn't survive that

I also have a gut feeling that Kahn might have 0 interest in taking Williams 2nd and is all smokescreen right now cause that's his 'strategy'. And he's just doing Mr. Burns hands in his office waiting to see who offers the best trade, or if it comes down to it taking a Kanter or Valanciunas 2nd

Swap draft picks and allow us to unload Bargnani for another player or players who might be a better fit or have a more favorable contract is stupid?

I think its all about the trades... He could take Williams if he could unload Beasley but he more likely to get better offers for the pick.

Also think Raps smoke screening, I think they go Knight Val Kanter Vesely Leonard then Walker...

Walker/Biyimbo are guys that could still be around for a second lotto pick
