As a big iverson fan growing up, I'm not totally against AI for the minimum. I'd take him for the minimum over Brown for whatever he wants.

Iverson is out the league because he couldn't drop his pride for the sake of winning, he never wanted to come off the bench and that's why contenders never made a move for him. When he went back to Philly he didn't want to come off there either, they had moved on from him. He would've hindered Williams growth. He didn't want to come off the bench in Memphis either...again he was going to hinder another young guards growth.

Well I kinda side with AI as far as that issue went. I agree with what he said, If you want me to come off the bench for a contender like San Antonio or LAL ok, but why come off the bench in Memphis without even being able to compete for a starting position, with a team that wasnt a contender. Every1 has a different point of view, but thats how I see it.

Really? Before this season, Conley was a **** ass Point Guard, how can you bench someone of Iverson's caliber, for this scrub (at that time)? I remember one game, Iverson wasn't even on the court for the 4th and overtime when he was fully healthy. He could have been the closer for that Grizzlies team but was never given the chance. In Detroit, their dummy head coach (who was fired after the season BTW) benched AI for freaking Stuckey who was showing some growth but should have been used as a spark plug on the bench. Rip Hamilton was benched and he had some shady comments about it, but that never was blown up. AI might have had an attitude problem but with these idiotic coaches, you know why he was frustrated with each situation.
