would utah do something like this?

barbosa + 5th

for

3rd

basically we get our guy (knight) they grab Jimmer at 5 and draft someone like Leonard at 12

Jimmer/ harris/barbosa
Hayward/barbosa
Leonard/CJ Miles
Milsap/Favors
Al Jefferson

thats a pretty solid and crazy athletic lineup to grow into...obviously harris or Raja Bell is expendable...barbosa is a much better energy off the bench player

^Sanders still looks very foul prone - looks more like a PF/C to me - and really hasn't shown much rebounding. Diop is a true C, great defender, no offense though. My depth chart (for your team) would look like this:

Jennings/Bayless/Joseph
DeRozan/Weems
J.Johnson/Kleiza/Najera
Davis/Amir/Sanders
Bargnani/Diop/Dorsey/Alabi

I took the liberty of adding Dorsey because I really think he should be re-signed.

I like it, and would probably do all of it, but I might prefer to get a more established C, and some depth at SF, and take my chances with Bayless and our #5 pick.

Report: Utah Jazz open to trading Millsap, Harris

During ESPN’s Chad Ford chat Thursday he was asked about draft day trades and mentioned the things we all expect — the Cavs to move a point guard, Daryl Morey and the Rockets to be active — then he threw in a real surprise (via CBS Eye on Basketball). Jazz looking for deals. Would be open to discussing Paul Millsap or Devin Harris.

I'd take Harris over J Flynn, and probably Kemba, he's been an all star.

Raps

Harris
Perkovic

T Wolves

Calderon
Alibi

Jazz

Ridnour (very solid backup)
Kleiza (fits well in that system I think, more trade value with them replaces Kirilenko)

Raps

Devin Harris - Bayless
DeRozen - Barbosa
James Johnson - Sign Kirilenko?? Weems
Ed Davis - Amir Johnson
Jonas V #5 - Bargnani - Perkovic

Thats a solid team esp with a guy like Harrison Barnes or Perry Jones next near

I dont get why this has happened yet

Calderon

for

Walton, Blake, Lakers 1st rounder (either this year or next, preferably next)

Talent upgrade for the lakers, we clear up our PG issue as Blake is more clearly a backup. Walton can back up JJ at SF until Kleiza recovers. Maybe flick Walton for another useless contract that is slightly more useful for us once Kleiza recovers (Diop or carroll from the Bobcats)

Bargs+Jose+Kleiza+Alabi+#5 for Bynum+Blake+Walton+Ebanks ?

We get Bynum, who is the same age as our young core and one of the best C's in the league. He could really flourish being more of a focal point in our offense here, and more importantly, we get a real proven defensive anchor who still hasn't reached his potential. Trading Jose for Blake opens up more opportunity for Bayless, who we give a year to evaluate as a starter (and if things don't work out, we're still in a good position to land a good PG like Myck/Teague/Wroten in next year's draft.. if they do, great, there's some awesome SF prospects as well). We also pick up Ebanks, who himself is a good defender and has some decent upside, and simply needs an opportunity to play (he looked very good both in Summer League as well as the DLeague).

For the Lakers, they get a much needed upgrade at PG in Jose, and get a capable scoring big in Bargs, who is a good fit at the 4/5 next to either Odom/Gasol. They also get the #5 pick, which they can use to draft the kind of young talent they otherwise couldn't acquire (probably a PG or C imo), and dump Blake/Walton.

Bayless/Blake
DeMar/(Barbosa? Weems?)
J.Johnson/Ebanks/Walton
ED/Reggie?
Bynum/Amir

Jose/Fisher
Kobe/Brown
Artest/Barnes/Kleiza
Odom/Caracter
Gasol/Bargs

+ #5 (Kanter/Knight/Walker/Valanciunas ?)

I swear with the luck we have the top 4 will be

1. Irving
2. Williams
3. Knight
4. Kanter

Leaving us with Walker/Val/Leonard/Vesley

At that point I'd rather have Brandon Jennings and his chemistry/friendship with Demar. I also want Corey Joesph as a 3rd PG/SG who's a nice shooter off the bench

To TOR: Jennings + Maggette + Sanders
To MIL: Calderon + Barbosa + #5

Posted it before and like it. Just dont know who the Bucks would pick

Then

To TOR: Najera + Diop + #39 (Corey Joesph)
To CHA: Maggette

Jennings / Bayless / Joesph
Derozan / Weems
Johnson / Klezia / Najera
Davis / Amir / Diop
Bargnani / Sanders / Alabi

That's my lineup. Sign a SG (maybe re-up Sonny because his speed would be a nice fit. He tested faster than CP3 apparently at the draft combine. And at SG he's better defensively if he's healthy and can be the sonny from previous years then bring him back cheaply and position yourself nicely with the hard cap

Team is athletic as hell. Sanders buck fans said he's a good shot blocker and his future is at C. Raptors liked him pre Ed Davis slipping. Grab Gilchrist/Barnes/Miller next year

Jennings
Derozan
Gilchrist
Davis
Bargnani

Could that lineup not cover Bargnani? Jennings is above average defensively. Under a guy like Casey. That's a nasty team with a future

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Toronto In:
Desagana Diop
Eduardo Najera (cut)
Matt Carroll
Dhantay Jones
#9

Charlotte In:
James Posey
TPE to swallow Najera and Carroll (7.3M)

Indiana In:
Jose Calderon

Why for Charlotte?
They get rid of Diop and Carroll a year earlier. They save 7.3M in this deal and they'll have a lot of capspace for 2012 to maybe make a run at CP3 and Dwight. They should suck enough to get a good draft pick too in 2012... Not sure if Charlotte bites on this.

Why for Indiana?
To continue their momentum of last year, they'll have a much more competent backup PG in Jose. His deal only runs for 2 more years and he would definitely help their team... again, not sure if Indiana does this.

Why for Toronto?
We pick up some garbage to get #9 and this should also prevent BC from overpaying a free agent this year. We probably make ourselves worse which is great for a likely shortened season and a strong draft in 2012.

Roster will be as such:
Bayless/Barbosa
Derozan/DJones
JJohnson/Kleiza/Carroll
EDavis/AJohnson
Bargnani/Diop/Alabi
#5, #9

Someone make a trade to get McGee... Perfect C to play with Bargs....
Draft Kemba....
Get rid of Calderon / Barbosa, for a solid vet
I think Amir has a decent amount of worth... just dangle the line and see if we can get something decent for him.

And I'm happy till next year...

There's no denying McGee's talent and potential, but Bargnani/McGee could be the dumbest front court in NBA history.

Indiana ain't paying Jose $10mill to back up Collison. The Jose to Indiana ship has sailed.

jennings + #10 or Saunders + unprotected 2012 + magette

for

#5 + ed davis + barbosa

We get our pg + the all mighty 2012 lottery pick

They get to move up 5 spots and get a young stud to put beside bogut while shedding magettes deal. Ino we lose Ed but we get a lottery pick in the next yrs draft that has 5 potential elite SF.

Jose + 30th pick overall - Charlotte
Jax - Chicago
Ronnie Brewer and CJ Watson - Toronto

Works in the trade checker, all have same amount of years on contract. We split up Jose's contract into smaller pieces. Chicago gets that 2 guard they DESPERATELY need, and who can score and defend. Bobcats get a pick and get slightly younger.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

I see why everyone but Charlotte does it. They need more incentive imo.

yeah not sure what this does for Charlotte. They already have Dj as their PG, plus Cho is their new GM now so they aren't as dumb.

I don't mind this...i'd rather have #10 than Saunders... use it to draft TT...Jennings could essentially be better than any other pg prospect in this draft not named Irving anyway

Jennings/Bayless
Derozan/Weems/Bayless
JJ/Maggette
Amir/TT
Bargs/Alabi

we crap out this year and have two high picks in 2012 to address either the C, SF, or PG situation (if the Jennings/Derozan experiment doesn't work)

Just throwing this out there, but what about Bargs and Jose for Baron Davis and #4.

I think it's kind of fair value...Jose could mentor Irving, Bargs might fit well next to Sideshow Bob.
Then draft Kanter if he drops and Vesley.

Kanter Alabi
Amir Davis
Vesley Kleiza
DD Barbosa
Baron Bayless
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Dan G.
