i THINK gil just tweeted in response to me about his shoes... this is the happiest moment of my life, which pales in comparison to BA's script getting picked up, scabs chasing his dream, and bill gettin hitched...

The discussion on the previous page (btw congrats, BA - that's pretty impressive) regarding various creative projects reminded me of this website, Kickstarter.

I was just introduced to it recently and thought I'd share. Kickstarter is a fundraising platform that allows your friends/ fans/ strangers to pledge money in support of your creative project. Read more on their website, if interested.

I currently have a friend on there trying to get funding to finish his EP and promote his new video. He's only about $1000 short with 2 weeks to go, so it looks like he's going to meet his goal. If not for the website, he probably wouldn't have been able to finish his project.

I sincerely believe that every single person who can write intelligibly has at least one good book in them. I've been kicking around a science fiction novel in my head for awhile now, would be nice to get it out on paper.

Break up the Washington Nationals. Winners of seven straight.

If you're inclined to follow baseball, feel free to drop by the Nationals board and join Rafael in discussing our new sports powerhouse.

am watching USA vs Jamaica on Univision.

Jeraine Jones of the US just had the most egrigious dive I've seen in a while. It resulted in a red card for the Jamaican player who never touched him.

SMH. I hate diving.

The pros were at Budds Creek yesterday. Was a hot day, but very enjoyable watching them rip the track up. The Sun Burn that incurred during this time not so enjoyable...

I hope Rory McIlroy will win a bunch of golf tournaments in record fashion, and not turn out to be controversial in any way.

I've been watching the Gold Cup soccer matches. (I like them on Univision, even though I don't speak Spanish.)

Anyway, I really like the sport. I think it's beautiful when played well. Except for one thing. The damn flopping.

It's horrible. I can't believe that FIFA doesn't get more aggressive at stopping the flop. When floppers are rewarded, it's an embarrassment to the entire sport.

-----------

So, that being said. I really HATE NBA flopping. It undermines everything that basketball is about. Manu, I'm talking to you - but not just you.

Stu Jackson should be empowered to review video tapes of every NBA game. When there's a flop, that player should be suspended 5 games without pay. The league office should then put out the video of the player flopping and it should be played at every arena that player ends up playing at.

It makes me really mad to see flopping in basketball.

Is there any way where Soccer can relax its rules to allow more scoring? I could watch a soccer game if it was like a 4-3 type of game, it'd be enough to hold my interest. I'm going to the FC Barcelona/Man U game in July, that better be a good game.

Anyway, weekly Nats board plug: viewforum.php?f=124

YOUR Washington Nationals have won 9 out of their last 10 games and are at .500 for the first time since May. We've got a good thread going for the series against the Ms. Check it out.

I think the Chocolate City Chocolatiers would be a great name for a funk band.

I just wanted to give a special shoutout to those people that are coming over to the Nationals board, noticed W2L recently joined along with Pine, myself, Jollay, Scabs, craig01. Thanks fellas, it's fun to talk baseball when the team is actually winning. And if I missed anyone, my bad, didn't mean to.

I've found no matter how good you were at some things if you don't do them for a while you sort of suck at them. I used to be awesome at sliding. In my two attempts to slide the other night in a softball game One I tripped coming into second and almost tackled the second baseman when i didn't actually get down (broke up the double play there at least hahah) and on the other I missed the back with my extended foot and got tagged out on my bent leg going into third on a perfect throw, but if I get the slide in correctly safe. Also on this last slide i got alot of scrapes which is fun to let the kids know why I got them. I like playing on slippery grass fields with kids better ;)

Got a nice little seat location upgrade tonight at the select-a-seat thing.
Now in 105 row j - not that far from the floor. Great value for price.

Are there any players who will have negotiated a buyout of their last year in Europe, only to be locked out and get zip over here? That'd suck.
