KINGS LOOKING AT A.MILLER VIA TRADE
I found this juicy little article everyones thoughts ?
Givony: Sacramento Kings Interested In Blazers G Andre Miller?
In a CowBellKingdom.com podcast with Jonathan Santiago, DraftExpress.com writer Jonathan Givony says the Sacramento Kings might be interested in trading for Portland Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller.
----------------
"I think they are definitely exploring point guards, guys that are available. Whether it be Andre Miller or someone like that who is out there that could move Tyreke Evans off the ball a little bit more.
"Then they could address the small forward at No.7, if they still have that pick.
"Beno Udrih is definitely a guy who is talked about being shopped. I think every team in the NBA is having these discussions internally and externally with other teams.
"What actually happens? It's really tough to predict. I think we should all take a step back and wait and see what happens."

Wouldn't mind Miller finishing up his career in his backyard, but if the Kings are interested in him it's to get that last year of Beno off the books and take a nice big bite out of that non-fully guaranteed contract of Miller's. The Blazers are actually one team I can see Beno being a legit option for trade purposes.
Other than that Miller/Evans is a match made in hell on the floor.

I agree with the Blazers being a great fit . At the same time I dont really agree with it being a match made in hell though . That said if it were I could see Miller getting bought out or traded before the trade deadline & get dealt to a contender in the event we are not one . Not saying we will contend or be a playoff team but you just never know . Alot depends on moves , chemistry , coaching managing the clock , not making bad decisions & so much more .

I don't know if it's the right idea to go out and pick up a PG that shot 10% from 3 last year.

grandpa miller is too old for this team. we can package beno to trade for a much younger player. tyreke/miller backcourt is a mess. both player shoot horible in 3-pt. is this the start of bad off season for us? yes i expect a bad off season for my beloved team because the maloofs still running the team

How would you guys evaluate a Matthews+21 for Garica+7 swap?

Re: KINGS LOOKING AT A.MILLER VIA TRADE
I don't think Miller would be that horrible of a fit. He fit fine with Roy. When you're a smart player that knows how to run a team, that helps a lot with the lack of an outside shot.
With that said, he certainly wouldn't be ideal.
Saying we shouldn't want him because of his age though is silly. We need veteran leadership and he would bring it.

I would love to trade our 7th pick and garcia for Wesley and portlands pick. Wesley and thorton on the court together is dangerous.

Tyreke-Wesley-Thornton lineup would be fun to watch actually.

Yea but im not sold on moving Reke to SF... he has too much star potential at PG. So im assuming Wesley plays SF? At 6'5 he is strong enough to guard the position. I really like Mathews, interesting line up you have here...

For one year. I mean, it's one thing to look at somebody in that 32-33 range who has a good 3 years left, but Miller is heading into that 36-37 range. Better to bring in somebody that can at least be counted on for 2 years.

I think he can. He barely showed signs of slowing down, and he really has an old man's game.

Re: KINGS LOOKING AT A.MILLER VIA TRADE
But if he's kept long term why would he want to stay on a team like the Kings in what is probably his last year in the league? If he's barely showing signs of slowing down some other team won't hesitate to offer serious cash which the Kings would be stupid to offer.
First, I don't buy this whole thing at all anyway, doesn't make sense although it would be a great way to alleviate a potential problem if the Kings land Walker or Fredette by shipping out Beno, but signs are pointing to Petrie taking Leonard so Beno might be a important part of the rotation. We'll see.
