Atl and Wiz

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I think first and only move we should look for is turning Marv>Bargnani.

You know, Marv for Baargs is about as good as it get without moving Josh or Al.

Re: Atl and Wiz
Didn't want to put this on the T&T board, but why in the h3ll would any team trade for both Blatche and McGee?!? That's just asking for trouble...
Also don't think much of the pick. If it's 5-10 next year, then it'd be nice, but I got the feeling that when Wall catches up to the league, he'll make the playoffs very quickly. If that pick drops to a mid-1st, then we really shot ourselves in the 1st.

I would love for this to go down. but if it doesn't I want to get a center.

I don't think Toronto would trade Bargnani for Marvin.

Re: Atl and Wiz
Doubtful Toronto wants Marvin when they are already paying Kleiza and then have James Johnson and even Derozan at their 3 spot.
Wiretap says McGee is off the table and you can't be comfortable with Blatche anywhere near any prominent strip clubs....that will spend the end for expecting any type of work ethic out of him but if a guy like Biyombo or Kanter falls to 6 perhaps the trade could be just Al for Dray and this year's pick.
Wizard's upgrade at PF to go along with McGee and Hawks get a talented center prospect to go along with a better backup.

This idea just needs to stop. It's completely one sided how it stands.

The trouble is we might not have the cap space to complete that and we'd have to get it started on draft night without knowing for sure.

Re: Atl and Wiz
I just don't see the Wizards giving up McGee and a 1st for Horford even if we take Blatche. Blatche can score and if he ever gets it could be dangerous. McGee is a developing defensive center and those are hard to find.
As far as the Marvin for Bargnani idea, use your brain. Marvin had his worst year ever, regressing in almost every way. Then he has back surgery. Hopefully back surgery will allow him to become a fraction of the player Billy Knight envisioned when he drafted him ahead of sure thing PGs. Until then he's an underproducing, unassertive SF coming off surgery with 3 years and 25M in contract guaranteed. No one trades for Marvin this year. End of story. Now if Marvin has a good year after the lockout then he might be a valuable trade chip next off-season as he would only have 2 years left and the surgery question will have been answered. Conversely, if he has a bad season then we're stuck with him. For the sake of sanity, don't use the dream of a Marvin trade as a reason to shoot down any other trade suggestion this year.
