In all honesty, guys like Faried are not hard to come by. If no other options are available, I guess i'd be fine with him. But if a guy like Brooks/Burks is there and we take Faried, I'll be smh at Bird.

getting a lower pick doesn't have to be a trade down. there are a couple of teams with a pick or two at the bottom of the first round that would probably prefer not to have that many guaranteed rookie contracts.

Yeah, I suppose the Pacers could acquire a second first-round pick. I doubt they'll be able to just buy one this year though, none of the "sellers" appear to be in any real cap trouble.

Maybe they could trade for an extra pick. Who wants Rush? :)

It was in the wiretap a few days ago that Ainge looks like he's trying to trade the 25th pick because according to him, it's a weak draft. At the 25th, we could easily snag one of the bigs to fill our depth. Justin Harper, Jeremy Tyler, JaJuan Johnson, Nikola Vucevic, and Jordan Williams could be available at the 25th.
