Andre Miller

Post#1 » by Heatfansince04 » Fri Jun 17, 2011 8:04 pm

Wiretap says Portland is fielding offers for him. Anyone interested in him joining the Heat? Do you think he would help?

He can't shoot, the court is just gonna be smaller for the Heat on half court offense unless lebron and dwade gonna come back as knock down shooters

on top of that he's old, so nah, don't want him

*Waits for truthiness to come in here and blow a gasket* :football:

In all honesty though, I agree with the above post that the court will only become smaller with Miller on it. He just lacks three point range. Baron Davis is inefficient at it and is somewhat of a chucker, but at least the range is there and he's much more dynamic offensively. Not to say it's realistic that would happen (or that it'd even be a great fit if it did), but if we're talking unlikely Flawed Brand Name PG additions, I'd take Baron over Miller.

Without knowing how the new CBA will change the league's financial/acquisitional landscape, I think this is the offseason to try and procure a long-term starter at C with the MLE (i.e. Dalembert) and wait until next year to throw the MLE at a much better PG market. I can see us drafting a PG at #31 though.

For free, as a backup for Chalmers, he's ok.

By the way, can I get a consultation? I want to sue a manager in my keeper Yahoo NBA league who made way too many posts this season.

Not saying that Dre is the solution but lets be more open minded. You dont need a knockdown 3 point shooter in your starting line up at all costs. Bulls did it with mj, pip and ron harper. Miller would FORCE miami to run even on makes and would organize the offense well, not all bad.

Miller is a good PG but he doesn't fit with the Heat.
The heat needs a PG that can stretch the defense for Wade and LBJ...
