Rashad Mccants

Post#1 » by CablexDeadpool » Sun Jun 19, 2011 3:12 pm

Rashad Mccants would be a great fit

He's a scorer. He's efficient and athletic...6'4 long...extremely talented.

Plus he's young and he's dying to play, why not here?

And please spare me he has an attitude crap, he's just one of those misunderstood types...dude plays hard that's all that matters in the end.

I question whether or not he's good enough to play in the NBA. If he were I suspect someone would have picked him up by now...

He's been blackballed. Coaches think he's a headcase cause he doesn't smile a lot (I'm serious that's why they think he's a headcase and they ask him to get a psychiatric evaluation.) A guy who gets you 10 plus everytime he steps on the court in 20 mins is good enough to play.

He's far from a scrub, dude drops double digits consistently. It's just his so called attitude problem rubs people the wrong way.

Sorry, I have a hard time buying that. This is the NBA. Talented players don't get blackballed, they get coddled...

McCants ? Really ?

How far down the scrub bin are you people willing to dig ?

Hey, I hear there's this talented center that might be available, Olowokandi or something.
What do you guys think ?

I mean, McCants is the next Jordan, and this guy is the next Shaq.
Sign them and trade Wade, Lebron and Bosh for role players.

McCants is talented and is hardly a scrub. He's an excellent athleete and was pretty productive coming off the bench in Minnesota (14.9 ppg in 26 mins. with a respectable .453 FG% and a very good .407 on a pretty high volume of 3 pt shots (5 per game) in 07-08. He supposedly has some personality problems, but is not a bad guy. It's been a while since he has played and been productive, but this is a team that can take a chance on him and lose nothing if it doesn't work out.

There is no harm in bringing him to a try out for the team. Remember we not to long ago turned Q rich into a decent player for us

I wanted him before the season, when I read that article or watched that video of him being blackballed.

I think he can be better than a lot of the spots on our roster and he's worth a shot. His 23 yr old season was a better offensive season than any of the non-big three have put up in years and his offense can fit our team (40% 3s on almost 5 shots a game in that season).

We can take a flyer on him for the minimum. I'd do that if he is still in shape.
