Exactly, the majority of these Ves highlight videos are limited to him dunking in-transition, he doesn't warrant being taken in the top-10. Thank You Mr. Hollinger.

Then why do you watch highlights instead of games. They are on the same site.

Say bye to Kanter fellas. Per Ford, JV will reach a buyout agreement but he can't play in the NBA next season.

I had Jordan Crawford as worthy as a top 15 pick last year and that was better draft IMO. I'm not sure what the benefit would be in trying to trade him for a pick in the teens this year.

Crawford is a streak-shooter that we could possibly trade for a more well-rounded guard/SF/ big prospect. Worth considering listening to offers at-least if we put out feelers.

I'd stick with Crawford. The guy only started to get PT the last 30 or so games of the season, yet he showed he could play both PG and SG, and that he could make clutch shots. I was impressed by JC and want to see more before I'd consider dumping him for some unproven mid-first round draft pick.

Link?

Edit: Nevermind, I saw it. I still think Cavs could take him 4 if it's just a one year wait.

I wouldn't think it would be a huge deal since there may well not be a season this year. Anyone looking at him must be thinking that too. If he's the real deal, I'd draft him at 6 and look forward to another year in the high lotto -- and then be in a position to make huge moves next summer.

It's his twitter:

Valanciunas update: Sources say buyout agreement close, however, buyout won't allow Valanciunas to play in NBA next season.

If Valanciunas can't play in NBA next year, he'll drop. Cavs won't take him at 4. Still I doubt he slips past the Rockets at 14.

You can't take that risk, if there is a season we're the dumbasses who took a player who won't play.

Sure you can; it's all about how good the player is. if RUbio does great, he was worth the wait -- plain and simple. If he sucks, then he wasn't.

Why wouldn't the Cavs take him at 4? This would be the perfect year to do it: the fans will be satisfied by the introduction of Irving as the #1, and won't feel as impatient about waiting a year for the other shoe to drop.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Good point, not to mention that they already have Sideshow.

The question I have is would Minny take Johnny V at 2? They are essentially in the same situation as Cleveland in that they are already adding a hyped rookie in Rubio. Short-term they save a couple mil that they can use to accumulate assets while helping teams get under the new cap, while continuing to tank for what could be a better draft next summer. Longterm they avoid having to extend Rubio and another player at the same time.

Dan Gilbert, the fanatic that he is, doesn't strike me as a guy who'd support drafting a guy who will spend a year overseas before playing at #4. Especially if he's still holding on to that "Cleveland will win a championship before Lebron" stance.

I've been reading JV over Kanter at 4 was reliant on his contract status. I'd be willing to bet they go Kanter now. Although EG better get on the phone with the "settled on Irving, willing to trade #4 headline", because the chances of Vesley in a Wiz uni at #6 just went up dramatically.

The news about Jonas won't change things much, it might even make him more attractive especially to the Wiz.

I'll be real interested to see everyone's opinion on where Jonas will go in their pick contest edits.

this is a great year to stash jonas and let him develop more instead of him sitting around playing NBA2k11. His stock wont drop

With Jonas out, I'll still say we move down, gain more assets, and get Marcus Morris.

He just has the best combination of size, skill, and demeanor in the draft. DX has a new video out where he shows his shooting range and athletic ability:

This guy is going to average 15 and 6 off the bat if he gets the minutes. He possesses arguably the best offensive arsenal in the draft, and he's 6'9 so he's not an undersized shrimp.

If Kanter isn't there -- Morris and Farried are my choices. The two toughest mofos in the draft and they're ready to play now. I'm gonna be pissed cause the Bobcats are going to nab both of those guys and their picking after us both times.

I see some Al harrington in there -- which may be fine as long as he's willing to play his role and isn't ridiculously overpaid.

I also agree with this, which is why I have him going #2 to the Wolves in my rough draft for the contest. Minny already has Rubio coming over and has so many other young players that they can afford to wait on him for a year IMO. They can make their big consolidation deal at the deadline, then add JV plus another high pick next summer to really get going.
