Dont have a Twitter account, but heard Cranston tweeted something to the extent of:
Cats entertaining trading #9, at least open to it.
Teams have called about Jax and Diaw
Only hesitant in trading DJ, and Hendo to a lesser extent.

Thing with Fields IMO is that he is too much like Hendo - in that he's a classic role player. I'd rather hang onto the #9 where we have more of a chance to draft a star.
No knock on Fields, I like the kid a lot, but I like him a lot more next to a super star - and we don't have that.
I agree with what your saying Slam, I just also think the Knicks won't trade him in a hurry as he has more value to them, pretty much for the reasons you've said.

I'd like Harris if he was EITHER quicker or stronger. I don't know if he's going to be able to guard anyone at the next level

Just saw the latest DX mock...Burks is at 17. Lets say he drops to 19 somehow.....do we take him instead of Ham? I say HECK YEAH I dont see how we wouldnt take him. Imagine a draft where we got Kawhi/Burks/Benson?.....sick

nbatv has some good draft specials on tonight. i just watched the one called prospect something...
coach of vesely didnt exactly give him a glowing review, said he really is just a hustle guy, cant shoot, cant dribble, cant pass etc... same coach also ripped montie saying he lacks effort, but gave nice review of jonas.
underrated player they mentioned was honeycutt

based on interviews, media perception and your observations who would you consider the 3 smartest and 3 dumbest players in this draft? who are the knuckleheads and who are the high bballiq guys?

jonas not coming next year wouldnt phase me one bit from drafting him. i am warming up to him at 9. why bring him over next year for a strike shortened season when we can leave him over in europe and have him get another year of experience.

I get what you are saying. My thinking is that if we did a trade like this, then we get a young good SG to share time with Hendo and compete, and then have #17 and #19 to draft a Center and SF. Fields, Hamilton and Vucevic would be a very solid haul for the team. And heck, if we cold somehow trade Diaw and #39 for another solid 1st round pick, get another player who can help. There are lots of options. Gotta trust Cho, Rod and MJ to be smart. Which is a bit scary, but fun.

Tonight, InsideHoops Mock has Charlotte getting Vesely at #9. That would be a steal if that happened!

Nice to see that the Bobcats are getting calls on Diaw. I can't imagine they are too good, but with Cho maybe we can work a favorable deal. I 'm perfectly content with Thomas, DJW, and Najera at PF next season.
What do you guys put the chances of us seeing a trade on draft night involving the Bobcats as?
I say 60% chance we will make a trade of some kind.

I look forward to the Bobcats selling the #19 pick for cash considerations on draft night and then the board blowing up with "MJ's a tight arse" posts for the next three months.

^^^^If we sell #19 for cash, I will be one of those posters. And I bet most of RGM Bobcat fans will as well. That would down right suck.

...especially if the pick ends up being a contributor. It'd be like Dudley (different situation, but you get me) all over again.

I have Honeycutt, Harris, Malcolm Lee, Harper then Hamilton as my targets at 19. Still on the Bismack BW at 9.
Jack of all...high IQ, savvy, i think he'd be a solid pick at 19. Honeycutt is my guy first and foremost at 19.

Yup they had Jimmer going to Sacto. I think we need Toronto to take Kemba. If that happens picks 6-8 I feel will shake up a bit and we'll get someone we didn't think we had a shot at at 9.
Now for those who want Kemba, obviously this isn't a good scenario.
Vesely is pure potential, but at his size and athletic ability it's a nice gamble, but his shooting is awful, especially from the FT line.
