3m+2nd+2nd for that pick?

A lot of Wolves fans would like to see Kahn use the #20+Flynn to try and move up to get Brooks.

I could see that, no reason to not do it.

Much of this whole Bynum talk has to do with that rumored hard cap. If that happens the Lakers might be penalized heavily to reduce salary.

The Lakers need to trade Bynum NOW! If the Wolves are offering, than we should be listening ... I'd do a Bynum for the #2 pick, Darko and Flynn without batting an eyelash.

You then package the #2, Pau, Flynn, Ebanks and Caracter to the Magic for Dwight, Bass and Jameer ... OR ... package Flynn, Brown, Ebanks, Caracter and the #2 to the Hornets for CP3

The absolute worst case scenario would be we get stuck with keeping the #2 pick and draft either Derrick Williams (upgrade at the 3, nice backup 4), Brandon Knight (massive upgrade at the 1), Enes Kanter (instant solid backup 4&5, future starter), Kemba Walker (huge upgrade at the 1) or Jimmer Fredette (instant offense 6th man, future starting PG)

No brainer.

You'd do Bynum for one of Derrick Williams/Brandon Knight/Enes Kanter + Darko Milicic + Jonny Flynn? Now, let's scrutinize this trade for a second. Darko and Jonny are basically scraps-- We can pick up better players through free agency. So, basically. . . You'll be doing a one-for-one trade of Bynum for one of Derrick Williams/Brandon Knight/Enes Kanter.

We could've traded him for Carmelo. . .

Not necessarily on that one. We don't know if the Nuggets would have accepted nor if it was a real offer.

By the way something is up as far as cash goes. Jimmy wants to do this to cut expenses. Wild guess is that they want Gasol dealt so that they save about 35m or so a year including the luxury tax. In Jimmy B.'s eyes Derrick Williams+35m is worth it over Gasol so don't be surprised if this deal happens.

Someone needs to convince Fisher to retire. To hang it up. . . I know it isn't happening, though.

The only way I trade Gasol for the #2 is, if we flip the #2 + Artest + Fisher + any other scraps (they want) to New Orleans, for CP3. A core of Paul, Kobe, Odom, and Bynum can win the championship, I think. I'd much rather trade Bynum for the #2 in that case, though. Then trade that same package for CP3, and pick up a center through free agency.

I ain't red, boys. lol..

Ok ok, so, minny doesn't want to give up the # 2 and love for gasol, but i def think theyd be willing to give up the # 2 and some other assets for Pau. so...check this out

la out: Gasol, Ebanks
in: Beasley, Steph Curry, Biedrins

La...we get our perfect pg, a back up big to bynum, and a great 6th man scorer in beasley...and we get...YOUTH
pg - curry/blake
sg - kobe/brown/barnes
sf - artest/beasley
pf - Odom/Beasley
C - Bynum/Biedrins

Minny out: # 2, Beasley, Ridnour, Milicic, Tolliver
minny in: Gasol, Ebanks

They get gasol while keeping love. They give up beasley, but its not like they gave up a whole lot to get him. Plus, they get a potential stud in ebanks.

GS out: Curry, Biedrins,
GS in: # 2, Ridnour, Milicic, Tolliver

GS has their guard in MONTA, and now they get the perfect building block in d williams to go with lee. they also shed biedrins contract which they don't love, get a steady pg in ridnour and a not too overpaid C in Darko...

I kinda LOVE it for the lakers, and I think its pretty nice for the other teams as well..Thoughts?

They don't want to give up Beasley either. It's pretty much the #2 for Gasol or nothing, and the Lakers don't want that. Gasol is too expensive anyway, so there is no point in bringing him to the Wolves unless they would compete right away.

If we're considering blowing up the core, I'd like something along the lines of this happen. Pau + TPE to Minn for #2/Wes/Darko. Then move Blake/Bynum/Odom/#2 for Paul/Okafor/resigned Landry.

Paul/Fisher
Bryant/Barnes
Johnson/Artest
Landry/MLE or Draft pick
Okafor/Milicic

We get younger and a shooter in Wes Johnson, obviously Paul and a serviceable C.

Rubio/Ridnour
Ellington/Webster
Beasley/Hayward
Love/Randolph
Gasol/Pekovic

Minn gets Gasol to become their C and move Love to his natural PF position.

Jack/Blake
Ariza/Belinelli
Williams/Pondexter
Odom/West/Anderson
Bynum/Gray/Mbenga

NOH gets #2(Williams), Odom, and Bynum. Having Odom and West looks like an overload at the PF position, so I'd expect one if not both of them to be dealt to veteran teams.

send minesotta gasol for the number 2, send the number 2 to cleveland for the number 4 and their 20th pick, and jj hickson, send jj hickson and the 20th for raymond felton, then you have your point guard of the future and the number 4 pick in the draft, you might have to send them character or ebanks as a fill in to get hickson though, or a future pick. thats a good deal for everyone.

Ok my bad I got confused. Then do gasol for the 2nd and 20th move the 2nd for the 4th and whatever other pick cleveland sends along with hickson. Then move minnys 20th and hickson for felton and u still got 2 picks to toy with while getting a starting pg and the 4th pick in the draft. Its not like gasol is getting any younger or cheaper and I highly doubt minny moves love. I'm sure a lot of teams would move a good big for the 4th, maybe josh smith? I dunno.

^ Not horrible though I doubt Cleveland would include Hickson in a deal to move up two spots ... Hickson can play and is a building block for them ... I have no doubt the #4 could land Josh Smith though as the Hawks would grab a real C with that pick and move Horford to his natural PF position.

I am going to be ticked if the Magic luck into trading for J-Smooth ... I've got them offering J-Rich's expiring deal along with Earl Clark, Ryan Anderson and Orton for Smooth and Marvin Williams ... that would stack the Magic (though it would also kill them financially, something Otis Smith has never seemed to comprehend anyhow) and probably keep Dwight around all year at least which would give us no chance to land him really.

I would honesty look at Joe Johnson if that were the case. What a player he'd be next to Kobe. Seems like Atlanta is saying **** it to the whole deal.

Posted a trade on the trade board, what do you guys think?

Lakers Trade: Gasol,Walton, Caracter, #41
Lakers Get:Josh Smith,Milicic,Tolliver,#4(Knight or Walker)
T-Wolves Trade:#2,Beasley,Milicic,Tolliver
T-Wolves Get:Gasol
Cavs Trade:#4,Varajao
Cavs Get:#2,#41, Walton, Caracter
Hawks Trade:Smith
Hawks Get:Varajao, Beasley

Seems like a fair trade for all teams involved?

You could also add the #20 pick from Minnesota to Cleveland.

Wow, very nice trade my man, very nice. The Lakers, Wolves and Cavs all agree in a heartbeat ... the only hold out might be the Hawks though I think they would ultimately agree too ... good job.
