Re: rumore FOSTER negotiating to sign with lakers
Whoever wants Foster to move on cause he cant contribute is a moron. Like said before, he is by far our best rebounder (still hoping he can teach that to Hibbert) and he has veteran leadership that NO ONE else on this team has.

That quote made my day. Jeff is a great Pacer. If you think he's useless, you didn't watch many games this season.

Foster would throw his "ugh" boots at Kobe. This is a fictional trade.

Loved the way Larry said that, would really like to see Jeff get involved when he's finished playing.

if we lose Josh, and that's a real possibility, I think I'd start Jeff at 4 and bring Tyler off the bench. I'm hoping the draft will give us a backup center so Jeff can play more 4 and less 5. a second unit with Tyler and Tyler would please me.

His point is like this:
Coaches don't have to contribute on the court to be an integral part of a team's success.
Jeff Foster doesn't have to contribute on the court to be an integral part of the team's success.
There are many vets who do lots of good wearing street clothes. Worth well more than one of the 3 reserve spots. If his 940 minutes could've qualified he would've been 4th in the NBA in total rebounding percentage, and that's gravy.
It doesn't change your point because you read what you want to read, I guess.

No, it doesnt change my point because we were originally talking about leadership (my original post). A coach is naturally a leader because the team depends on him to help them win. No one depends on Foster for much of anything at this point. You only believe that Foster is a leader/integral part of team's success. There is no evidence that that is true. He may not be hurting the team with a bad attitude, but he's not an integral part of us winning. When he's gone, we'll still be the same team with the same guys being depended on to perform. You see what you want to see, I guess.

Jeff Foster is one of those guys that you can always count on to play whether he wants to or not. He will always give top notch effort and you wont hear much compaining from him. I dont think moving him to the 4 would be too bad of an idea, hadnt really thought about it.

He doesn't have the foot speed to play the 4, niether does Hibbert but someone thinks otherwise.
