Idea: do we help CHI get Dwight Howard?

Joe Johnson/Josh Smith to CHI
for
Deng/Korver/Brewer/Asik

We save $5,168,500 right off the bat, Rose loves having Joe and Dwight Howard chooses CHI. The Bulls can easily get him - if he says he wants them - for Noah/Boozer.

We get Asik (whom I admit I really like), Deng plays SF and Marvelous can at least play a good defensive SG.

What am I missing?
Should I ask for a million 1st round picks?
Taj Gibson?
(I wanted to leave them a PF if they trade Boozer)

I know the talent given is much better than the talent received but maybe our payroll and on-court team structure will make more sense.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

no, with what we are sending them you should ask for D Rose.

Well, I wouldn't help Chicago do anything, but what's being suggested isn't a 3 way deal so you just evaluate it in terms of what it brings us, not what it might lead to for the other team in free agency.

Honestly, I like Asik also. I also like Deng, but Korver and Brewer do little for me, but for dumping Joe's contract so be it. I'd ask for the 3M cash and a 1st round pick in the deal. If the team is open to dealing Joe and Josh then this isn't a bad package.

Joe for Asik, Taj, a pick, and contracts

anything besides that would be wasting the Hawks time.

But you'd rather have Biedrins and the 9th and 19th picks? http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1121520

I'd rather have Deng than the 9th and 19th and I'd really rather have Asik than Biedrins.
With my idea, we pay $6,646,073 less next year, clearing the way for a MLE without going over the LT.

I would do that. CHI wouldn't ... at least, that's what everyone at the Bulls' board told me when I suggested this.

And I didn't even ask for a pick.
