I think Ersan is worth a first rounder in this draft. This makes a lot of sense.
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

I'd do it in a second if I were Boston or OKC.

I'd take their '12 pick... They're regressing, imo.

I believe Ersan is a better player than he showed last season and should have a little more value. He was coming off an off-season where he played all summer for Turkey and came into a situation where he got injured and couldn't find a consistent rhythm. I still think the guy will become a 15-8 player in the NBA if he finds the right situation.

With that said, I'd look to move him for an instant contributor or a top tier player who's already been drafted and spent some developing overseas.

Boston, with a one year window, makes a lot of sense actually. The chances of Ersan being better than 25 next year are high, IMO.

I'd take SA's '12 pick... They're regressing, imo.

Bulls might be interested. They aren't keeping both 28 and 30. They have been looking for a stretch 4.
Trade S. Jackson soon. NJ seems like a nice place for him.

Maybe, MAYBE if I am ready to contend and I feel the only missing piece to the puzzle is a mediocre stretch 4 that isn't even that good of a shooter. ;)

A veteran 6'10" power forward that rebounds well, plays good defense and will lead your team on the Miller Lite hustle board and can play emergency minutes at center, all while being signed to a very cheap contract is worth a first round pick in most drafts.

If it was me and I got a late first for Ilyasova, I'd then package that with 40 and try to move up. I think someone would bite in this draft.

No matter how it shakes out, I think we can safely assume that Ilyasova won't be on the team past Thursday night.

I haven't done a ton of reading on the NBA lately, but it seems a lot of analysts are still kinda high on Ersan having potential on a contender. I wouldn't mind a 1st round 20s pick and I don't think it's unreasonable someone would bite.

If you're already a good enough team that you're getting a pick in the 20s, why not grab a player where you absolutely know what he's gonna do for you rather than one who has pineride potential in a mediocre draft?

Let's see if anyone bites assuming nothing goes down with Houston or another team.

I was going to post this earlier but did not kow if it would be locked or not...

Ersan would be excellent on a contender or any team with multiple picks. Maybe the Bucks can get something for him...for a change.

Hopefully they cash in on an asset.

Great job by Hammond in trying to turn a who cares bench player into a who cares late pick. The guy is full of great moves like this. Another 1527 moves like this and Hammond's incremental rebuild will reach fruition.

If we knew anything about his buyout desires during the season, we should have traded him at the deadline. I'm also wondering if it would be more advantageous to not buy him out, and keep him to trade at next deadline, when some contenders could be in a more desperate situation and give up a 2012 pick.

I'd ship him to Houston for Goran Dragic and Sergio Llull or Dragic and Maarty Leunen. I'd also trade him to Utah for the rights to Ante Tomic or to Portland for the rights to Victor Claver or Joel Freeland

saw this coming yesterday when LRMAM wa QO'd and said it in that thread. Ersan to the Heat or Bulls for 30 or 31 makes a ton of sense.

I certainly wouldn't be dancing in the streets or bestowing a bunch of praise on Hammond though.

I would've traded him last summer when I created the Ilyasova is Expendable thread but I don't think you would've gotten anything more for him then or at the deadline then you could get now.
