Re: 2011 Pre-Draft Talk (Non Bobcats)
swedd, you made me laugh. kudos.
the fact that we are debating bynum just shows how pathetic the center position has become in the current NBA. its sad really. the death of the low post player is a sad thing. think back to the 85-95 era when you had so many great true centers in their prime
hakeem
ewing
robinson
shaq
mourning
daugherty
mutombo
some great centers at the end of their careers
kareem
moses
parish
and even many 3rd tier centers that would be borderline all-stars in today's NBA
smits
eaton
donaldson
laimbeer
duckworth
edwards
i wonder if the NBA will ever swing back in favor of post players like this. seems all the young bigs are being groomed to be more faceup type players rather than old-school back to the basket types.

Hell, even guys like rony seikaly would easily be allstars today. He was one of my favs. A hardnosed 17pt/11reb/1.5blk kind of guy with a diverse skills set. Remember one game in the early 90s when he hauled in 34 rebounds.

HoopsHype: Nash to NY is "heating up". Nash with Melo and Amare would be a pretty good team for the next 2 years.

@DraftExpress No, I'm totally for serious. Kanter at number 2. Write it in. In pen. And not those crappy erasable pens.
Givony doubted the rumour and Kaaaaaaaaahn strikes back!

Kanter makes MUCH more sense for the Wolves than Williams does so I don't blame Kahn at all.

I have no problem with that. But the way how Kahn works with media is just something else. Also it opens endless new scenarios how this already enigmatic draft could work out.
Draftexpress already has a new mock counting with Kanter at No.2 - with Utah taking no PG and two SF (Williams, Singleton).

Yes. And I'd be happy with whomever was left of Kanter or Williams. Use #19 to replace whomever we sent out.

I think the absolute lowest Knight would fall would be #7 to the Kings.

Probballdraft Probasketballdraft
Sources tell @Probballdraft that the @Cavs are prepared to select Jonas Valanciunas either at 4 or lower if they trade down. Buyout or not.
Probballdraft Probasketballdraft
From the sound of things @thenyknicks focusing on Shumpert, Faried, Markieff Morris, & Vucevic in the mix at 17.
ESPNAndyKatz Andy Katz
There is a real belief in the Kemba camp that if he doesn't go to the Kings at 7 then he could be there for Knicks at 17, landing at home.
