Also what do you guys think about Wiz getting Alec Burks @18 in newest draftexpress mock, would give us an excess of guards so would likely mean end of Nick Young but I'd love the pick.

I think Alec Burks would be awesome if he fell all the way that far. He would definitely be worth it, even though the need is at SF and a Big.

That said, my idea draft would have us coming out with a Big and a SF, and perhaps a backup PG with #34.

It's now clear to me that the Wiz draft wish list (assuming that we can't get Williams) is:
1) Kanter
2) Valanciunas
3) Vesely

Even so, if Kemba Walker slips, I don't see MJ being able to pass on him. They could try to follow that up with something like Diaw+Augustin for Kaman (assuming the Clippers don't deal Kaman for Iggy).

Kaman
Tyrus
Jackson
Henderson
Walker

Not great, but not bad either.

Actually I think its this:

1. Kanter
2. Vesely
3. Valanciunas
4. Leonard

Personally, unless we make a deal. I think we'll end up with Vesely.

I don't think Utah is in love with Brandon Knight as led to believe. I wouldn't be surprised if they go with Kanter and try to get a perimeter player at #12.

I can go with that. I'm pretty much resigned to us ending up with Vesely.

We will end up with Kanter. Book it.

I don't think that's entirely in our hands at this point.

I'm told Minny taking D Will if don't trade no. 2 pick...Kanter talk is a smokescreen...Sac not trading for TParker b/c of TP's contract...

I am still most intrigued by these players if they dont get Kanter. Jan in interesting. I liked his energy the first time I saw him. He also seems to be active on the floor and knows spacing. But he just seems a little to much of a risk.

Marcus Morris
6-8 230 SF/PF
Kansas Jr. Charlotte could use a versatile forward with scoring ability and toughness. Tyrus Thomas is more athletic but doesn't have the same skill set nor the ability to play the 3. Morris was one of the most productive players in the country last year and has the versatility to play either forward position.

Tobias Harris
6-8 223 SF/PF
Tennessee Fr. Denver has Harris on their short list of players. After moving Melo, this is a team in the process of rebuilding and Harris is the youngest player in the entire draft. Tobias can do a little of everything with good vision, passing and ball handling abilities. He also gets good extension at the rim. His lateral speed isn't ideal. But he is a bright kid with has a professional demeanor.

Nikola Vucevic
6-11 260 C
USC Jr.
Vucevic had a great season for USC and shows the ability to knock down shots from the center position. He lacks great speed and athleticism but his length helps him considerably on the boards.

Marshon Brooks
6-5 195 SG
Providence Sr. Brooks has some interest from teams in the lottery after some strong workouts and there are rumors he could go as high as 9. He proved to be a deadly scorer this year at Providence and a handful to guard with the ball in his hands. He may remind some of Jordan Crawford with his unorthodox style and aggressive nature. His length (7-foot-1 wingspan) allows him to play a few inches bigger than his 6'5 height.

Harper

and keep and eye out for Reggie Jackson, Kyle Singler and Jeremy Tyler

Im just gonna post my opinion but I think Kanter to Utah is all smoke and they want Walker/Jimmer/Vesley

- I think they said Kanter to force you to trade up to #3 (Eliminating CLE from trade talks) because all you want is Kanter
- So I think they want you guys to throw the house at #3 where they move down and get Walker/Jimmer/Vesley
- They always go experience and Walker fits that

So I ask what would you throw to move up for Kanter? What if they say #6 + 2012 protected 1st for #3. Or Crawford + #6 + #18 for Bell + #3. What would be your limit? The max you'd give up?

Opinions will vary but myself, I'd probably throw in one of Crawford, Seraphin, I guess the 18th or nothing. I'm probably a poor representation of the franchise's interests in that regard if Kanter really is far and away "the guy" but I don't view him as a demonstrably superior prospect to a few others all of whom probably won't be drafted by six. I'd pass, most likely, and see how Utah really feels about the prospect of a Kanter/Okur rotation at center.

No, I think we're looking at the #6 and #18 for either the #3 or #4 pick. I don't think we're looking at including the 2012 pick. Perhaps adding filler to that, but Crawford would definitely be too much.

No to both those deals. My limit would probably be #6+#18+maybe Seraphin. Anything above that, and no deal for me. Other users may feel different though. Some may give up more than I would, and some probably wouldn't trade up at all.

I don't get the urge to dump Seraphin after one year. No thanks to giving up Seraphin, unless we keep the #18 and do Seraphin and the #34.

Not saying the kid with be Kobe or MJ but his persona reminds me so much of them.

He could play a Kobe stunk double for interviews. lol.

7-1 Wing span with talent and a personality that seem mature beyond his years with that fire edge.

I will want to see this kid in the NBA no matter where he lands.

Marshon Brooks is the only reason why we should let young go , or at least sign-and then trade him away. If hes there at 18, and we somehow get Kanter, that would be one hell of a draft.

Don't get me wrong, I like Seraphin, and want to keep him around, but if we had to give him up as a filler to get Kanter, I'd probably do it. We would be swapping big-for-big.

Agreed. I say no way EG does that. He moved up to get him. He is not going to give up on him after one season when he know he was a project coming off the knee injury.

I say, dont give up anything more than the 6th plus 34 and cash. No way I give up the 18th pick this year. This draft is deep in viable solid players and there are some very good upside players if you feel more risky.

I say draft at 6 or trade down. Not up.

Just saw the panel on NBATV breakdown Vesely, and it made me feel a lot better about him. David Aldridge thinks that the Wizards would play him at PF and groom him to be the next Kirilenko. Honeycutt was his pick at 18. (Had no idea he led the Pac 10 in blocks.)
