Great news! Good omen tonight. Jeff Skinner of the Carolina Hurricanes wins the Calder Trophy for ROY in the NHL. Good things coming to Carolina. Maybe it rubs off on us tomorrow night!

I agree with you hotrod - the pairing of Hendo at SG and Kawhi at SF would be a very, very bad one, but maybe we also land Brooks at #19 while trading Hendo for something of value down the road.

Wouldn't that make sense?

I'm just not willing to say the FO is nuts if they trade up for Kawhi.

Ford says Bobcats looking to move up to get Leonard.

WHAT???

That is the most INSANE idea I've heard to date...packaging BOTH picks for LEONARD??? A guy who can't shoot...??? WTF?????????

I hope that is the biggest smokescreen ever fed to Ford...

Honestly, if the FO does that, I am regretfully done ...

You are kidding - right?

No. Rush is a 3 point shooter who could be a good compliment to Henderson off the bench. Plus you could still get 2 solid players.

You really think they would welcome the the brother of a slack arse who pussied his way out of Charlotte and has proven to be nothing but a slack arse in the NBA himself?

I really like Leonard as a player. focus on what the guy can do rather than what he can't. I just think if the Bobcats wind up with him somehow then it will be a good draft. He's the type of player you can slot in and count on to win you some games.

Not if you trade 9 and 19 to move up to take Leonard, which was why I was saying that would be a terrible move...

BigSlam, the Bobcat's aren't very good right now. They traded Crash for picks ... and hope. Screwing up this draft would make that trade worthless and kill what little hope some fans have. I totally understand Bassman thinking about bowing out if they do something stupid.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Sorry - meant to say buy their way back into the 1st and take someone like Brooks (because there seems to be a lot of them on offer this year).

been offline, catching up on some news...

i am not interesting in packaging the 2 picks to move up unless its for derrick williams or kanter, which aint happening. too many talented wings in this draft to target one over the other. narrow it down to 3-4 guys and then take who falls. much rather look to trade down than up.

as for the rumored deals, i think i like toney douglas and 17 the best of those deals. but i would probably say "no" to all of them.

After living through the McMay pick, the Ammo pick and the Lexi pick I'm not about to walk away from the team because they don't draft someone I don't want them to this year.

I don't think I would ever walk away from the team - especially not over something as petty as a draft pick. If that was the case I would have walked years and years ago.

But each to their own I guess.

Slam...I'm just so...tired....so...tired...of a team that just cannot make the best decisions...

This coach and organization said they would not trade up, and certainly not trade both picks, to move up in a draft unless you are getting a certifiable star. How the hell can anyone make that claim about Leonard? I was an early advocate for dealing both picks up to get Kanter or Williams, and if we were doing that, I guess I'd be OK with it, cause Williams and (too a lesser degree) Kanter have a real chance to become special players, maybe all-stars, but not likely MVP finalists. Leonard?? Even if he learns to shoot..he's not even a lottery pick in a normal draft.

I'd much prefer to trade down, get the quality players we seek, and go forward. Hell, I'd gladly take BItchsmack or Klay or even Singleton at 9 and keep 19 versus trading both to get the K=Project. Unless we have a deal to trade a veteran for another mid-range pick....I say HELL-O NO!!!!!!!!  :curse:
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Per NBA twitters on Hoopshype via Ryan Feldman: a well placed GM source has indicated that there is a medical red flag on Biyombo. It's thought that is Biyombo gets past 8 or 9, he could slide much further due to this info. Still thinks either the Pistons or Cats take him.

Geez, a back issue. Maybe it's much ado over nothing, but constant injury is the last thing we need...DIOP DEAUX.

i chuckled at your misspelled french - you just said "Diop D'oh" which i suppose works as well.
