I'm hoping Jonas falls to us.

This issue with Jonas will be how long you have to wait to have him to start reaching his potential. I would say 4 years before he is a quality starting 5.

I think people realize this.. Jonas' value will only go up in the next few years, so he will be a good trade piece if needed. Many draftee's are like cars, you drive them off the lot and their value drops 30%.

I don't see Klay reaching the Warriors at 11.

This would suck, if Jonas would otherwise slip to us:

I like Maynor and had him on my draft board the year he came out, but I don't feel he is enough to move into that range.

I think the Kings want and need to make a splash. Maynor doesn't do that for them. They need a long term fit next to Evans.

I agree Mylie, but OKC is one team that has a lot of assets that they can use, if they really want to.

That is our problem, we are extremely short on assets. I'm not saying I want to move up a couple of spots, but I would like Minny's pick if they would back off the asking price.

Rockets Targeting Thompson, Biyombo In Efforts To Move Up

Post#268 » by gswhoop » Thu Jun 23, 2011 4:34 pm

This was just on the wiretap and if Detroit has other plans I think it would be to the best of our interest to swap picks with them. The deal is T. Thomson or Biymobo for the 14th and 23rd.

I think Burks or Klay will be available at the 14th and that's where I think their value lies. As for the 23rd pick I wouldn't mind picking Honeycutt as a value pick for BPA or a gamble on Jeremy Tyler. I'm pretty sure we can field offers on the 28th pick for those who really wanted a player who might have slipped but won't make it to the 2nd rd.

If the warriors have a savvy group in the war room I think they could get great value for the 11th pick.

DraftExpress has the Warriors now taking Marcus Morris with both Walker and Leonard going after at 12 and 14, and with Valanciunas, Biyombo, Singleton, and K. Thompson in the top 10. Morris is alright, but I would rather take Walker or Leonard instead.

If ever.

I look at the weak investment GSW made in Diogu,POB,B Wright,AR. Jonas V has LESS going that them.
Jonas V is also a risk of being Fran V---a wasted pick,a guy who is late to arrive but ends up not as good as the hype.

I prefer Singleton, Leonard, and Tristan to Marcus. There are at least 11 guys I prefer to him so he's not on my draft board for the Warriors.

My longshot guy is Jamie Skeen. He is not on mocks because his knee injuries have robbed him of the athleticism needed to play at the nba level. But the boy can play. If he can recover some of his quickness then he'll be a guy who catches on somewhere after summer league 2012.

NO Morris brother...PLEASE. If Klay, Biyombo, Singleton, Burks & Leonard are not available, I'd rather trade down somehow to acquire multiple picks (Rockets?). Drafting Morris at #11 is a worst case scenario.

****.

I don't want the Morris brothers either, I'd love for Biyombo, T. Thompson, Singelton to be available!

Cant wait for tonight!

I feel an Ellis-Iguodala trade tonight. We'll also end up buying a mid to late first rounder or a 2nd rounder.

We've been too quiet on that front...I think the sixers have been gauging other potential deals but Ellis is the best value and they'll come back to the table. So why not drive up Ellis' value at the same time by saying he's *not* available for the taking. I smell it...it has this new FO regime's MO all over it.

Could be wrong though.

But I thought it was 100% that he was going to be a Warrior.

Buy the Mavs #26 pick and take the best project big man available. Stone will probably be there too and I'm intrigued by him.

If Bismack isn't there, I'd do it. Biedrins +11 for TPE? wonder if we could pull a 2nd out of it as well?

That'd free up roughly 16 mil for FA sign DeAndre or M. Gasol
