If they take Kanter at 3:

Most likely TOR will take Knight at 5 if he's there. So if the Jazz really wanted, they could offer some kind of package resembling:

#12 + GSW Pick + Harris

for

#5 (Knight)

I'd give him a 77% chance of being better than Millsap.

Bigger, more athletic, more skilled coming out of college, hard worker, proven on the big stage, scoring machine.

Honestly, the Jazz need to get up to 2. Rumor floating around that the Wolves want Millsap, the 12, and next year's GS pick.

Jazz would be able to keep the 3 in the deal.

So the Jazz would own the #2, and the #3 in this draft. You could either take Williams and Knight which would be a very good start towards a rebuild, or you could move those two picks to Cleveland if you think Irving is a can't miss, and maybe get their second round picks.

I would LOVE for this to happen. The reason being that Millsap is NOT a 3, and with Favors eventually becoming our starting PF it moves Millsap back to the 6th man, which I'm not sure he'll be ok with. Give the jazz the 2 and the 3 pick, we can take Williams who is much better suited to play the 3 ALONG side Favors and AJ. Not to mention we can draft Knight at 3.

I heard the rumor about the #2 but not with milsap. Not sure why Minny would want Milsap when they dont really want williams... The only place I see him on there team is off the bench. But because it is Minnesota i guess it doesnt have to make sense.

Well the way i see Beasely, is that he is more a 3 that can play 4. Dwill is the same thing. Millsaps definitely a 4 that maybe play the 3. They can play Beasley at the 3, Millsap at the 4, Love at the 5

I'd rather keep Millsap and the GS pick to be honest.

Maybe #12 and Millsap for #2
or
#12 and the GS pick for #2

But, not all 3. If it's that expensive just stand pat.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Hmmm.

Jazz take Williams, Washington takes kanter, minny takes biyombo? My guess is the jazz would move a pick, or it could be something massive including millsap, McGee and Ridnour/Randolph?

McGee and 6 to minny
Millsap and 3 to Washington
Ridnour/Randolph and 2 to jazz

Would need some work to make the salaries match.

Yeah, that was just a quick glance at the rosters, though the salaries don't match but I like it all around.

Wall gets Millsap and Kanter to work with, will slow his game down a bit, and Blatche becomes trade bait, which from my understanding is they want to get rid of him.

Minnesota gets McGee as a legit shot blocker/clean up guy next to Love who doesn't need a lot of touches to be effective, and they get the #6 to take whoever they want. Jazz get a good back up PG in Ridnour at a reasonable price, and Randolph as a SF/PF to provide energy and length.

Harris/Ridnour
Hayward/Miles
D-Will2.0/Randolph
Favors/Evans
Jefferson/#12?

Interesting line up, we get super athletic really quickly.

Utah moves up to get DWill. There's no precedent for such a trade (TIC)

Here's a little more info...

"Draft Day: Draft Buzz

Utah Targeting Derrick Williams in 3 Team Deal

We're hearing that there is a 3 team deal in the works between Utah, Washington and Minnesota.

The deal would send the 6th pick and players (and/or cap relief) to Minnesota.

Utah would get the 2nd pick and is targeting Derrick Williams.

Washington would get the 3rd pick and is targeting Enes Kanter.

And Minnesota would move back and dump salary or add veterans such as Paul Millsap.

Minnesota might not be done at that as there is speculation that they would again move 6 to either move down again or for more established veterans.

The deal would likley involve established players. Some names that have been mentioned; Jonny Flynn and Devin Harris."

I would be all over that. I've always loved Ridnour, especially as a back-up. Just a nice steady hand who you can rely on to keep things running smoothly. And obviously a Hayward/Williams/Favors tandem means good basketball for many years to come.

Also remember, every single one of these teams has a second pick in the 10-20 range. Jazz at 12, Washington at 18, Minnesota at 20.

Jazz get 2 and 18.
Minnesota gets 6 and 12.
Washington gets 3 and 20?

Mix some players in there. Seems like the options are there for a deal like this to get figured out.

I wonder if AL is lobbying to get Flynn over here.
