Would you do Hadaddi(S&T) and #49 for Steve Nash?

I think Suns will be bottom of the standings next season, and Nash wants championship. He doesn't need to stay there and Griz will help him out.

It's quite plausible for both teams according to your way of thinking.

ROFL!

One year of finally winning a playoff series and Memphis fans are all cocky? Wow.

If the Grizzlies do in fact trade OJ Mayo, I'd look at doing something like this:

Timberwolves trade: Michael Beasley/Wayne Ellington
Timberwolves receive: OJ Mayo/Xavier Henry

Grizzlies trade: OJ Mayo/Xavier Henry
Grizzlies receive: Michael Beasley/Wayne Ellington

Wolves make room for Derrick Williams and solidify their SG position.

Grizz get a superscorer for their bench in Beasley, who I think would thrive in Memphis as long as he would be willing to buy into the team and Lionel Hollins. They also get some much-needed three point shooting ability from Ellington.

I don't like the trade simply from the stand point of what we are getting back. It is probably a good deal value wise. I just think Michael Beasley would not get enough minutes to justify moving OJ for and plus we could get more value elsewhere. Defensively Beasley is a little slow footed for the three and there are not enough minutes behind ZBO when we have Arthur already.

It is very difficult to do a trade with Minnesota, although they have pieces I would love to inergrate on the Grizz roster.

If you think

Joakim Noah <-> Hamed Haddadi + #49 pick

is doable, then your trade would also be OK.

I know people say Mayo and Ellis are similar, but I think Monta paired with Z Bo, Gasol and Conley would put the Griz over the hump. Maybe trade Mayo for a defensive minded SF if you guys can't resign Battier.

GSW won't touch it. Gay is FAR more $....FAR more and GSW likes D Wright at F...who's LOW $...in fact Wright + Monta combined cost less than Gay...but averaged 40 pt.

Wright also is a hang up on the other deal. Monta for Granger is in the ballpark...but it's easy to see wanting Dorell more than X.

Plus, the Grizz play really well with Rudy - before the injury he was really taking off. Monta seems to really fit in with the culture that they've build with the GSW.

Probably. Their GM's both have said...Ain't trading our star......yet this keeps coming up, like the herpes of trades. Make it go away.

Who exactly are the Grizz looking at to trade for Mayo? Im curious what you are looking to add to your team i.e. wing scoring, big man depth etc..

note: I know "heartfoundation" Chicago has nothing (within reason) that you want.

It's really hard to say at this point. Even with his much improved play in the playoffs, I think OJ is done in Memphis. There apparently just isn't chemistry with Hollins and Mayo/Mayo's camp. That said, I think the asking price for him (15th + McRoberts for example) has gone up. I believe that the Grizz are content to keep him and trade him at the deadline, if necessary. Therefore, an offer will need to be solid (not one sided) to make a deal happen. I don't think a pick alone (with cap space TPE, NG contract) will do it. That said, I really don't think the Bulls have the right combo of assets to make something happen - without a third team getting involved.

Pick(s)
Some cap relief
Vet specialist (stretch big, reliable wing 3 shooter)

Is that non specific enough LOL

recent article Griz GM Chris Wallace said we want 3pt shooting, faster point guard depth, another PF, and veterans in particular. this was in response to rumors of Rudy gay being traded and that anyone can be traded (TMac, Shaq, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, etc).

That's actually nothing new. There were sources around Feb deadline that Otis wanted OJ and/or Zach. Otis wanted a pair Howard with a perimeter playmaker/shotmaker/gamebreaker. The two main names on his board was Monta and OJ. But when he saw he couldn't get either one then he supposedly settled for Arenas who they thought could be that perimeter player.

That didn't turn out too well.
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.

I really do like Ryan Anderson. As a combo power forward/small forward he is quite versatile, can rebound, and is one the better three point shooters at 6'10" in the league. Any time I've watched him I've been impressed.

I agree about Anderson. If we were trading with Orlando, Anderson, Bass and a pick would work. I know not everyone is thrilled with Bass, but it would make the money work and he'd fill a need as a true big 4/5 to fill in behind Zach and Marc. Just a thought.
