ESPN report - Suns / T-Wolves discussing Nash trade

Post#1 » by showemyerteef » Wed Jun 22, 2011 1:15 pm

Espn just reported that discussions have been going on for approx. a month. I love Nash's game and class, and I'd hate to see him end up w/ a perennial loser, but he might give them a good season. If they get the #2 overall pick, I think the Suns pull the trigger and make that deal even though it won't go over well with the average fan...

T-Wolves and another PG? Kahn must be high. Either case, if they're down, I'll go for it.

if nash goes theyre way they need to take either warrick or childress. and we would want beasley or randolph in exchange. but i highly doubt such move..

Props to the great one

That's just the T-Wolves fishing, they have been saying they wanted Nash ever since they drafted Rubio. We obliged their phone call really only to keep a open line for trades going forward. It has been very highly reported that the T-Wolves are calling everybody that has a player they covet trying to trade away that #2 pick, they are going to fish the whole lake until they get a bite...........We will in no way trade away Nash, well unless he asks to be traded, and even then it would not be to the T-Wolves, it will be to a contender of Nash's choice...........

EDIT: *************

Like I said above.......

You'd have to think that if the Wolves really did offer the #2 pick, Babby would have to say yes. I mean...that's the best offer you're ever going to get for Nash at this stage in his career.

I have a feeling it was the Suns asking for the second pick; Twolves said Nash; Suns said No - okay move on

Then we're really, really stupid.

What's the logic here? We have a sub .500 team. Nash will probably leave us next summer. If you're not going to surround him with talent(and by all reports, we're not), then you lean towards rebuilding. I'm not in favor of the "trade Nash for a 1st round draft pick...ANY PICK AT ALL!" mentality, because he's still a fantastic player and worth a lot to this city and this franchise, but the SECOND PICK IN THE DRAFT?! Babby...don't be an @ss.

Change the thread title to "discussed". Stein reported that it was talked about but is NOT happening.

Tell the Wolves we'll consider it if they offer #2 + Rubio. Let's see what they say.

Uh, no. The report was that talks started but ended "fairly quickly".

Ugh. This thread is ridiculously titled and misleading.

They're not "discussing" ****. Did you read the article or did you intentionally want to get the ball rolling on something that isn't true?

They HAD BRIEF DISCUSSIONS that clearly were said to have ended "fairly quickly" once they realized it wouldnt work.

The T-Wolves DO NOT WORK as a trade partner for Nash. SIMPLE. AS. THAT.

Hello all, since this is a worthless thread. I've come to hijack it. I'm a HUGE Minnesota Timberwolves fan and I just recently moved to Scottsdale. I'm excited to be here and am looking for cool things to do. What can you guys tell me?

Haha, awesome JohnVancouver. If you're really bored, head to 55th and Campbell and check out where Seattlesun grew up.

Here's a thought.
Does anyone think it's possible we have an under the table deal with NY or Minny for Nash where we didn't want to make the trade until the lockout is over so that the time during the lockout isn't akward.
