Ron Artest trying to change his name to....

Post#1 » by NOODLESTYLE » Thu Jun 23, 2011 10:14 pm

Metta World Peace

http://www.tmz.com/2011/06/23/ron-artes ... akers-l-a/

Yes, Ron is going the way of Cassius Clay, Lew Alcindor and Chad Johnson. Ron's filed a petition in L.A. County Superior Court to change his name to -- World Peace.

FYI, metta means loving, kindness, happiness and all that jazz.

We're told Ron wants to put the his new last name -- Peace -- on the back of his L.A. Lakers' jersey.

These name changes are typically granted by a judge unless it would result in confusion or fraud.

Hey, give Peace a chance.

If I were Laker mgmt I'd tell him the only time he's able change his name to "World Peace" is when he activates his opt out clause.

"And from the Los Angeles Lakers, starting at the SF, number 15....World Peace!"

This is going to be a great year. I can feel it.

Um, Ron is dead serious about this and YES I do believe the announcer's will say "Wooorld Peeeaaace" when he makes shots. This isn't a joke, Ron has always marched to his own drummer and good for him. Props Ron, do ya thang boy.
