Perkins has been moved to a new team and is looking to get paid. He has no loyalty to Boston as they have "betrayed" him by trading him. OKC may be using him as a rental and may not be able to match a high offersheet. I know there are quite a few Marc Gasol supporters out there. What about Perkins? Is he worth $9-10mill a season? He is a great fit beside Bargnani and really covers our defensive innefficiencies down low. Having a rotation of Bargs, Perk, Johnson, Davis is very solid. Although 2012 is the ideal year to tank until, I think it is wise to take a look at Perkins and see if he could be had.

Aquiring that veteran....

Post#23 » by raptoradical » Wed Jun 22, 2011 12:21 pm

Sup people, I just had a question just for some open discussion..

I like the direction that B.C is going into as of late. Being more accountable, and taking more of an initiative with this young talent we have and stuff. It will be interesting to see how this Casey signing shapes out. But today Spurs have made it known that they are opened to making a deal with Tony Parker, not sure if he's the veteran we need, but at the same time every young team should have some sort of veteran or veterans that they can use to help develop a young squad. Draft night is pretty much here, and I feel this can be an opportunity to trade for some new peaces on the Raps, possibly with some picks, or with certain the players. But what I wanted to know is, if we were to pick up a veteran or veterans, who would it be though....and for what positions?

Thx

Shane Battier. Obvious Reasons. But won't sign here.

Casey Hints Were Targeting One Of The Main Centers In FA

Post#26 » by Waylon Mercy » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:57 am

Anyone just see his Press Conference during the draft on Raps TV?

Said were targeting one of the big centers in FA and gonna recruit them like hell...

Gasol?
Nene?
Jordan?
Chandler?

So we just wasted a pick on a Center Project to be their backup?

i dont get it. So we pick our future C and now were going after one in FA.

C / Val
Bargnani / Ed / Amir

so we need to clearly trade someone.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Yeah I caught that. He indicated that the Raps have a plan to target a big in free agency. Very interesting.

We're not able to acquire any of them through free agency. We are terrible.

There's no such thing as wasting if you got a solid C.

Much like *ahem* Dallas and they're GREAT trade assets ;)

I don't see Nene leaving Denver and Chandler won;t leave a team he just won a 'Ship with. So Gasol n Jordan?? hmm uniting Gasol n Calderon might spark some kind of Chemistry and I don;t know how to feel about Jordan.

Supposedly Casey can convince Chandler to come to Toronto.
