Even though I think we took him too early, I still support dude. He'll play defense from the start, makes us more athletic and he still has a good amount of upside to him.

Re: Welcome to the Knicks Iman Shumpert
Shumpert shot 80% from the FT line. People need to shut the **** up with this not a good shooter garbage. He may not be a good 3 point shooter, but hilariously the people complaining about this pick are also the ones who want D'Antoni fired. So what is it? Do you want some guy who chucks 3's at a decent percentage, or someone who can actually play basketball? The 3 point shooting will come.

His form is very nice...his shooting pct will go up with better shot selection that will happen with Amare and Melo getting doubled

I like the pick. I think he'll be great especially on D. He's athletic and is versatile. Let him work on his shot with Mike, just like Wilson Chandler, and he'll be great. I love the idea of him and TD coming off the bench and adding a spark especially on D. They'll create havoc. Im excited.

But he improved in almost every other stat. Points, ft%, reb, steals, kept his turnovers down. I want to give this guy a chance. Especially after what happened with Fields last year...
Plus we have other guys who shoot threes.

I just don't understand this pick though..
Isn't singleton the better defender? not only better defender but bigger ..
I just don't know anymore with this got forbidden franchise...
this seems like an isiah thomas pick imo...
a non shooting GUARD that NEEDS the ball to succeed...

some of you guys never learn....probably the same people who were bitching and moaning at the Landry Fields pick last year....give the kid a chance to play before you call him a bad pick geez...remember when Rajon Rondo fell because he had no jumpshot? yeah...

Re: Welcome to the Knicks Iman Shumpert
He's a great defender, great athlete, good slasher, and can handle the ball a little so we can move TD off ball once in a while. Plus, to all the people saying "he can't shoot," he has nice form (not broken) so all he needs is practice. Shooting is the easiest thing to correct...as long as he's willing to work.
I like the pick.

His track record really isn't spectacular. Mixed feelings right now. An undersized 2?

Him and TD are potentially a very nasty bench backcourt. Especially defensively. There are also different ways to score guys, he will have opps in transition.

Can he spot up shoot?
What is that site that analyzes pull up jumpers and other jumpers and ****. Those numbers would be useful in understanding what his role is going to be on offense.
